Jim's Jungle Retreat is an eco-conscious lodge on the southern periphery of India's showcase wildlife park Corbett Tiger Reserve. At this forest's edge Jim's Jungle Retreat offers 22 sophisticated lodges and safari tents in 15 acres of lush refuge, with forest and mountain vistas, countless bird-spotting opportunities, instinct-sharpening walks and safaris, and hours by the pool or on your private verandah.

Jim's Jungle Retreat lies along the southern periphery of the park, about 11 km from Ramnagar.

Hotel Facilities
Some of the facilities provided here include taxi service, currency exchange, travel desk, handicap facility and doctor on call, newspaper, guide, sightseeing, laundry and housekeeping service and parking facility. Jim's Jungle Retreat also offers adventure tours and elephant safari and makes bonfire arrangements. It has a swimming pool, spa, library, activity centre, games room, and ayurveda and massage centres.

Room Amenities
The resort offer three accommodation styles, totaling 22 residences, designed with a focus on aesthetic, comfort and of capturing the area's history. These include tents, cottages and lodges borrowing from their architectural past - old forest bungalows and safari tents. An extended verandah in each residence offers splendid views of the mountains and jungle. For families, cottages with an attached children's room, can sleep four.

Luxuriant fabrics, fine linen and subtle detailing create a comfortable and sophisticated environment. Century-old lithographs and plates of Indian hunting scenes frame walls. The furniture is designed with extensive use of local craftsmanship and material. Each uniquely-styled residence inspires charm and exclusivity.

Facilities inside the room include telephone, mineral water for drinking and balcony. All rooms have an attached washroom with hot and cold water supply.

Dining
The dining area, open to the forest, offers a unique mix of cuisine from the days of the Raj and local delicacies. Often an Indian barbeque, hosted in 'Shikar-camp' style by a bonfire.

Recreational Facilities
Slide shows and wildlife films are screened in the lounge, built in local style with mud and thatch, which also includes an extensive library of India's floral and faunal diversity.

Water bodies and open spaces lead to clumps of native shrubs and trees at the retreat, planted presciently to encourage nesting by the region's abundant birdlife. The sparkling water hole-shaped swimming pool is a cool option between safaris.

Please Note: It is always advisable to book safaris prior to arrival, especially during weekends as there are only 60 vehicles allowed inside the National Park at a time. Depending on the no. of guests, the estimated cost of safari vehicles will be between Rs 2600- Rs 3000. Guests can directly contact the hotels and book their safaris.
