Strategically located hotel near Taj Mahal, but need to brush upon service part. Booking was not there reason told was we booked post 6 pm last night. After checking the same was confirmed. Anyways breakfast was nicely laid but very few staff around for service had to chase for tea/ coffee, but lobby manager was helpful. We had dinner in grill terrace lounge there nice ambiance and good service. Room got empty mini bar. No toothbrush no paste I do not whether hotel does not have provision or no. No cloak in the room. Overall 3 out of 5. Good touch of people but need more staff to attend and brush up hospitality skill. Still recommend it to others and also stay there in next visit. THANKS Rakesh

The Hotel was very Basic and not as per the Star Rating. The front desk staff was courteous, helpful and very friendly. The location was good and near to Taj Mahal. The Wifi internet was great. The housekeeping though could do with more training on hospitality. Overall the Hotel was satisfactory, not very great.

The hotel location is a little bit difficult as there were no signage boards on the roads for guidance. Otherwise the hotel services are very good and rooms are decent.

The first room that they gave me had issues with its coffee maker. We just checked in and found that the device was red hot when we opened it up for the first time. 2. Lamps were broken 3. There was some construction going on nearby so there was a constant noise. When I made a complaint I was told that they are sending their servicemen to fix the room. I insisted that they change my room, and they did oblige 2nd room: I used their shower and there was water everywhere . Bathroom's drainage system was not working properly . This time though I simply asked them to fix it asap . Which they did . Used their Rooftop restaurant. Food was ok Service was poor , but anyways . I will not recommend this hotel to anyone . I stayed in a cheap motel on my way to Ara , and that turned out to be better then this hotel

We stayed at "Howard Sarovar Portico" for three nights and were shocked at the standard of the hotel and the lack of cleanliness. The rooms looked ok to start with but soon we discovered live naked wires hanging out of the lamps, in the bath, the iron.To make it even worse the corridors of the hotel had a number of doors for drain pipes all along the building with no locks or door knobs and where a death trap for children and we had to watch out for our little girl all the time as the hotel is certainly not safe for kids. The swimming pool was dirty and there was repair work all around and no maintenance at all. The food was ok, the staff looked like they have not changed their uniforms for weeks, the towels provided where also not clean and smelled strange. In all I think the hotel is certainly not safe and definitely not good value for money when we paid almost £100 a night. Not sure how they have survived for so long with such poor service.

Torn and worn out carpets which were badly & crudely stitched at places in patches. The room key and lock was old styled (no card system lock as most modern hotels have). The room selected was superior for 3 adults and what we saw was only 1 bottle of mineral water and one glass for 3 people. They didn't provide us with an extra towel. There were only 2 big towels. No small towels given. In the toiletries only a shampoo, soap and body lotion. No shower cap or other toiletries as we always get in other 4 star rated hotels. Very restricted menu. We reached there at 3:30 PM and were told that for lunch we can get pizza, burger and sandwiches only. The pizza they sent was all burnt. Dinner was OK. The breakfast menu was OK but food temperature not well maintained. The staff didn't even had the manner. He took away the plates from all 3 of us while I was still eating fruits from plate my daughter had muffin on her plate and husband had a piece of bread there.
