The hotel was strategically located very near to the Taj. The staff was courteous and the best part was the ‘sindoor’ welcome. The rooms were well-kept and hospitable staff was always available for assistance.

This was a great hotel - the service was fantastic, the restaurant was excellent, the staff was very warm and helpful. A Rajasthani puppet show was organised for us and the hotel offered to make travel arrangements. A great experience!

Hotel staff were great and the location was excellent. We dined in the rooftop restaruant and the food we had was delicious, although I would like to see a more extensive menu. Three of our party had massages and one member had an excellent massage and the other 2 were less enthusiastic. Overall we enjoyed our experience, and it was great to come "home" to after a hard days sightseeing!

Good hotel with wonderful hospitality, location is good close to Taj. Reception has welcoming attitude, hotel staff is courteous. Rooms nicely decorated. Hotel also has small gym/ health club and spa with all modern facility and a swimming pool. Pizza Hut and Costa Cafe close by adds further. Overall a good value for money.

This hotel is a four star hotel and rightly so. The location is very nice, around 0.5 kms from the Taj gate. The staff is friendly but do not seem fully trained. They have a small gym, a decent swimming pool and a spa. The pool and the gym is complimentary. Spa is subject to payment. The superior rooms are nice, clean and well managed. The rooms do not have a very nice view. The bathrooms are nice and have bathtubs. Only let down, if any, could be the restaurant. The food is OK at the very best. The choice is limited. Overall good value for money. Me and my family, which includes my 5 year old son had a good time. Worth a try.

It was a nice property, located very close to the Taj with a good market place just outside the hotel. The food was good, service excellent and overall worth every penny spent. An encouraging thing was the tight security at the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who does not want to spend extravagantly but needs all the comforts.

Howard Park Plaza has got excellent location with proximity to shopping area as well as to Taj Mahal. Most importantly the services were really par excellence all along. We enjoyed the stay every minute. Really good value for money.

The entire experience and trip to Agra was made comfortable by the Park Plaza Hotel with friendly staff and excellent service.I was promptly picked up from the Railway Station and also my travel arrangements in & around Agra were taken care of by the Hotel's Travel Desk. The meals were excellent and they had a good variety in their buffet which I felt was value for money. The only complaint that I have was that there was no Fruit & Cookies Basket in my Room as mentioned in the package.

Great Location. I was disappointed with the restaurant on site. The food was somewhat plain by Indian standards. This might be because it caters to mostly foreigners. My room consisted of two twins rather than 1 full size bed. The staff was as responsive as I am used it, but overall it was worth the money.

Overall excellent. But hotel charged for the breakfast for the third person (child) although the room was booked for 3 as a package. I booked similar pakcage with other hotels on the same tour where breakfast was complimentary for all the 3 persons.

I believe that the food in the hotel is very expensive. Almost Rs.600/- for a buffet is preposterous. Breakfast menu should include some South Indian items like idli, dosa, etc.

This is the first time I booked a hotel online. I Googled "Howard Park Plaza" to look for further details and was very pleasantly surprised to see that I paid almost half of what the Plaza site was charging. The hotel itself is quite conveniently located. Taj nearest gate is almost walkable. I found the service good. They are undergoing some renovations. The night time service was not upto the mark. I had to remind them twice before they put in the extra beds.

Excellent location near to Taj and main market. Nice ambience especially the pool was excellent, food is little expensive but the complimentary breakfast was very nice. But it was difficult locating it as there are no sign boards, so please improve on that.

The Howard Park Plaza has the potential of being a wonderful place if it had some upgrades in their hall carpeting and room electrical outlets. It is priced high for its current standing, but it is a nice place overall.

Very good value for the money! I might rate this hotel somewhere between 3* and 4* (especially comparing to some Bangalore's 4* hotels, this would be less than 4*) but taking in consideration it's favourable price, it is a very good choice. If I was missing something: more continental/European options for the breakfast, more options in the mini bar and more information on sightseeing opportunities of the region preferably with a map. And my windows was facing the back of the hotel where some water system (maybe for the pool?) was making pretty big noise over the night (but this didn't stop me sleep well), The service was absolutely as it has to be.

A neat and clean hotel, with very good facilities. The rooms are compact but complete with all the amenities. The views from the room are equally good, irrespective of the category. The room service and restaurant are a little steep, while the food quality is moderate. There is certain openness about the hotel, the corridors and lobby is big, which is good. The swimming pool behind the hotel was rather unkempt. Location wise, it is good too; Fatehabad is the main road that is in close proximity to the Taj Mahal and the Sadar Bazaar.

At the time of my visit, the pool looked like a hole in the ground. The water in the bathroom was brownish yellow, probably from the tanks getting overheated, although management didn't seem to do much to rectify this. If you want a good and reasonably priced top end hotel in Agra, near the Taj, this hotel is a good option.

The hotel is centrally located, has good restaurant and is generally nice. So, the basics are in place. The only problem I had with the hotel was with the service attitude of people -- "they do not listen carefully to customer request". Of the many instances, the most serious was when people in spa did not pay attention. They made an appointment for a message for 8pm, when 8am was requested. Second, they insisted that a pre-paid coupon was not given by my wife when it was given. Finally, speaking softly in the national language did not work. I had to speak forcefully, in English and threaten to raise the issue with the hotel manager before they paid attention. The people involved were one Dr. Neeraj (evening) and one Mr. Sanjay (morning). If this is not corrected, the hotel will languish as yet another hotel that could have made to the top, but didn't. My recommendation to stay is more due to value for money, rather than service.

Hotel is very conveniently located and getting directions to the hotel is very easy. The first impression of the hotel from outside is a bit let down for the charges paid. However, once inside, the feeling is much better. Very courteous reception and quick check-in. Welcome drink was loved by my 9 year old son. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Parking space inside the premises is limited but adequate parking available outside. Very close to Taj and the Agra Fort. Apart from proximity to Taj and Agra Fort, it is in the main market place. For those interested in shopping for artefacts & leather goods, this is the place to stay in. For breakfast, good selection of North, South Indian (vegetarian & non-vegetarian), pastries etc. However, room service is a bit let-down. Overall, a good value for money and pleasant stay.

Our stay at Howard Park Plaza was very comfortable. Having stayed here earlier, we knew what to expect. In fact, the hotel has improved since my last visit in 2006. The spa and swimming pool have been renovated and look very inviting. Due to paucity of time, we couldn't indulge in either. However, other facilities including travel desk and room service were quite satisfactory. Food was very good, in the restaurant as well as that served through room service. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Nice and clean hotel. Good breakfast but poor food on rooftop hotel (absolutely no value for money), though it features a very nice atmosphere for a end-of-the-day-beer and shisha. Service staff a bit slow: immediately means 15 minutes. But nevertheless very kind pool staff - unheated pool is a real morning refreshener!

Good value for money. Not a high end luxury hotel though very popular with national and international tourists alike. The roof top restaurant is the best attraction of this hotel. The furniture of the hotel needs to be maintained regularly. Food is average but on the expensive side as per hotel's overall standard. The staff is courteous and helpful.

The stay at Park Plaza is good, most of the people in the review have not liked the food but it was good the only constraint is the portion size of it. The location of the hotel is very good as all the places to visit are nearby but the condition of the hotel is just good as old architecture. But rooms are renovated but the mattresses are too hard not as springy as it should be. Rest overall experience was good the staff is nice and cooperative.

The hotel was well maintained, both in facilities and in personal service. All employees were pleasant and friendly, the common spaces and our rooms were kept clean and presentable. The travel services were very helpful for arranging sight-seeing. The hotel was a good value for the money and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family looking to go to Agra.

We enjoyed a pleasant stay at the hotel. It is located on one of the main roads, hence well connected to commercial areas as well as tourist places. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel ambience was good but the facilities need drastic improvement. The massage centre was quite dirty (dirty sheets and foul smell!) and the salon wasnÂ’t much better either but I was told that these services were outsourced, so I couldnÂ’t bring myself to blame the hotel for it; especially since the food and prompt service compensated for all of that. The buffet at the coffee shop as well as food served in the room was good. The hotel staff was courteous and the attendants at the travel desk were very helpful. Overall, a good place to stay.

As we had to leave very early (6AM), breakfast packs were requested. We got them but it seems that dishes were not very fresh (pack had to be prepared and let at reception desk the day before) as all my family was sick on the afternoon (except my son, who had not eaten his breakfast...) Moreover Rs. 500 for a full day access connection to internet is very expensive when the connection doesn't work all the day and when the debt rate is very poor. Shameful for an hotel of this category.

The rooms were good but I deeply regret to inform that the food preparation was too bad and also expensive and was not up to the mark. Requesting not to order any sea food dishes in this hotel because they are too badly cooked. Even the morning complimentary breakfast was not at all good.

Room/bathrooms were not clean. Filthy smell was coming from the toilet. Bed sheets were dirty. Water shower was not working, Water temperature was changing from cold to hot and vise verse every other minutes. Mold and Mildew everywhere on the shower and bathtub walls. Coffee stations had used condiments, mugs were not cleaned. Reported these problems in the morning to staff and they said Manager will contact me but no one contacted me.

We booked two rooms and both were stinking due to dampness. The hotel staff arranged for room fresheners. But it didnÂ’t help because the stink was coming out from the AC duct. The bathrooms were smelly, bath tub which was the only bath area was also untidy. Bedsheets were stained when the room was given to us. The intercom wasnÂ’t working so we had to go to the reception (ground floor) and complained about it. It took almost 8 hours for the hotel to take any action. Then they shifted us to another room and there was no handshower in the washroom. We were really shocked as we have never come across a four star hotel having hygiene issues. The food was horrible. We being vegetarians had no choice as all breads, rolls, croissants as well as desserts had egg. We again gave the feedback to the chef and he arranged for some vegetarian dishes the second day but only on request. It wasnÂ’t a part of the buffet spread. Again I have never come across a premier hotel serving such average food which doesnÂ’t accommodate vegetarian customers. Overall it was a nightmarish experience to stay in the hotel. ItÂ’s just an overpriced mediocre hotel.
