It's just too NOISY. Feels more like a party hall than a hotel, parties every night with loud music until past midnight, which makes the whole place vibrate. I had to change rooms twice, in the middle of the night, despite ear plugs and pillow and beer, just to be able to sleep a bit...

Many things about this hotel are fine - the staff (except those on the front desk) are pleasant and helpful, the rooms are a bit basic but OK, the food is not bad and the place is clean. However, as a business traveller it is vital that I have internet access and this didn't occur for 4 of the 5 days I stayed at the hotel (at least not in my room). The front desk staff made a few pathetic attempts to help but wasnÂ’t really interested. There are better places to stay.

The renowned Vishwaratna Hotel has good ambience, facility wise very good and comparable with any Five-star hotels in India and abroad. The warm receptionist, greetings from all the staff members, excellent complimentary breakfast and internet browsing made me find delight. The best part of this star rated hotel is it's near the holy temple of Maa Kamakhsya the divine Goddess. Well connected with railways; the scenic BrahmaPutra Naad the river; scenic Shillong, the Switzerland of India - 3 1/2 hour journey from Taxi Stand. Review on hotel charge is required for middle class families to experience the unique brand of this hotel by giving discount twice in a year with low rate to promote its brand so that it comes to the notice of computer users. But surprisingly, I heard this Hotel has not yet been rated with any comparable star rated hotels in India. In future, I think it will be one of the pioneer star rated hotel in North East.
