Hotel Taj Darbar Reviews, Bodhgaya

Very nice hotel with staff that were always happy to help out and ensure you had what you needed. Rooms were very nice and tidy and some complimentary fruit and water was a nice touch. Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the centre of town, which we did a few times but i think most people would consider a auto-rickshaw necessary (of which there are plenty around so this would not be a problem).

While Bodhgaya doesnÂ’t have good value hotels, this one is better than most with its new rooms and coke as welcome drink and fruit platter complementary. But now it is off season they are refurbishing the room with unbearable paint smell. There is only twin bed. Washroom is clean but looks cheap, especially the pot. There is no meat for non-vegetarian breakfast and restaurant food is too salty while the scrambled egg is too sweet. Position is a bit far from major temples for walk. However it is a better choice during heat summer with air-conditioner and book plane ticket with MakeMyTrip to get discount for booking this hotel.

Good service, hotel people are good.

The hotel is quite an oasis in a sea of rubbish and chaos and reassuring to arrive at. Staff were always helpful whenever any problem was encountered - lack of hot water, no heater in room, extra blankets needed etc.
