The following is a synoptic review of the present state of Swaraj resorts Bharatpur: There is a shortage of staff and abject lack of professionalism. The same person mans the reception as well as the cookhouse. However a certain gentleman called Mr Sanjeev was an epitome of courtesy and like the proverbial ATLAS carries the entire burden of the hotel on his shoulders. It was the presence of this man that rescued our stay at the hotel. He was a one man army who carried our bags, prepared our room, repaired the TV, cleared the blocked drains, served our food and laid the plates and the only staff who was a repertoire of politeness. The staff was not conversant with hotel plans as regards meals and billing. ROOM: The rooms must have been good few years back but now tells a sad story of poor maintenance. The lights are non-functional, hurricane lamp for staircase, torn bedsheet, blocked drains, smell of sewage and mosquitoes create an atmosphere of gloom at this hotel.
