Good location of the hotel. Food is expensive.

The USP of this hotel is definitely its superb location. The service varied from very ordinary to reasonably good. The food quality from their restaurant was bad for the Indian variety, but much better for the Chinese variety. The snacks were good. The breakfast was OK, but given that our breakfast was included as part of our package the variety and amount was very, very limited (in fact, for 2 of us, they said that we can only take a single type of breakfast with a quantity of two, this was ridiculous) The staff were polite, but inefficient, at times.

A home away from home. The wonderful exotic location right on the beach with rooms having magnificent french windows giving a panoramic view of the beach. The room service was eminiscent of the motto "Athithi Devo Bhava" efficient,quick,prompt and with a smile. The restaurant served a plethora of exotic freshly made authentic cuisines straight from the oven, and the seafare was a specially worth mention. The well maintained garden -well lighted, well manicured lawns with estoric vatican wrought iron benches, lights, reclining chairs -all in all provided an ambience which thoroughly leaves you uncluttered, rejuvenated to head back and join back your daily grind with gusto.

The location of the hotel was excellent, which in the end was the high point of our trip. Most items mentioned in the menu were unavailable. The rooms smelt musty, lights in the room were poor and the hotel management seemed oblivious to the hordes of insects and flies in the hotel precincts. The service however was very good and the staff made the trip comfortable for us. FIY: Prior to booking with make my Trip we had tried to directly contact the number of the hotel given in its website and was informed that there was only one room available. After reaching the hotel we found that except only two families were occupying five hotel rooms.

Perhaps the biggest plus point of Hotel Sonar Bangla at Mandarmoni is its wonderful location. It is really on the beach. The hotel does have a nice garden with ample open space. However, room-service is not up to the expectation, and more regular cleaning of rooms would be highly solicited. All payments are to be made by cash for there is no facility of paying by credit/debit cards. Still, on the whole, the hotel may be recommended to the tourists who choose Mandarmoni for their destination.

Extremely poor service. Room service is equally bad. Hotel to be avoided on weekends there are very few staff and they cannot cope with the a full hotel. We faced a lot of difficulties on Saturday and Sunday morning. By Sunday evening the hotel was almost empty and the quality of service/food increased dramatically.

Hotel has no phone connectivity, no electricity, it runs on genset almost always, entry to hotel is closed almost every day to tide waters, staff are very rude to irritate customers who are waiting for hours to check in.

Hotel Location is good. Just near the sea beach. But service is not so good, When we reached the room AC was not functioning after that they shifted us into Different room and TV set was not working but maintenence stuffs were supporting. they Keep there Ac switched off from 8.30-11. Resturent Service is also not very good foods are not worth . we ordered our BF aroung 8 and we received at room around 11. But Location is the plus point of the Hotel

In Mandarmoni you dont have good options for fooding. While depending on the hotel, you will be heavily depressed. Food quality is very very poor and price is so high. The location and other ammenities are good.
