Hotel Sinclairs Reviews, Ooty

We were really looking forward to this trip. However, it turned out to be one of the worst hotel stays because they told us hotel was under renovation for last 2 months and there will be NO HEATING in the rooms even when it's freezing temperature outside. We have a 4-year-old son who couldnt sleep all nite. They said they can provide us more blankets and are sorry for the inconvenience. Not even a portable room heater. Also, most of the amenities are unavailable as they have been closed for renovation. We requested for partial refund, but nothing can compensate waste of time and bad experience. We had reserved for 2 days but we checked out day earlier to move to a hotel with heating and LOST money on one day booking anyway.

Nice reception, rooms are ready to occupy and the room service are excellent. Location of the hotel is excellent and it is a nice experience in my life.

The hotel was just awful. There was just no staff to look after the guests. Leave alone that, even the rooms were not clean.

When I visited Ooty it was crowded resulting in delay at many places. Hotel also seemed to have been impacted on account of high occupancy level. Drift in service for such a quality hotel is not expected. Facilities and location is great. Can be better enjoyed, if the service levels are kept high always. Speed of service in Housekeeping and Billing is found low.

The hotel was nice and comfortable and the location wonderful - the hotel was on top of the mountain. Only drawback was the bed linen which was old and not very clean.

Sinclairs, situated near Doddabeta gives a nature lover an exotic scenic beauty, which is a feast to the eyes. The hotel is well equipped with very courteous attendants and that adds to the pleasantness. It's been a very nice stay.
