Hotel Siddhartha Reviews, Agra

The hotel provided all what I needed as minimum (and not desired).Just adjacant to Taj it is a perfect stay. This was my first experience with make my trip and now it is a memorable one.

The rooms were tidy and clean as were the rest room areas. And as recommended by others, the employees at the hotel too were very helpful. However, the bed sheets, blankets were not clean and also the road was too narrow, leading to dissatisfy the driver.

1) Hotel Staff Behavior: First of all the behavior of the staff (owner) , was very offensive, rude and unprofessional. He even didn't listen to customer and can even blame and embarrass the customer for any issue. 2) Rooms condition: Room condition is very pathetic. There is no room service/intercom. 3) Extra Cot - I have paid for extra cot during booking. But, instead of providing extra cot the owner (Siddarth), became hostile and started argument instead of providing a solution. He doesn't even have basic etiquette. Though, the manager tried to solve the issue, but by that time, it was too late, I had already made my mind of quitting the hotel and call of my agra trip then and there. So, I cancelled my return journey reservation for next day and with much difficulty, returned back to Delhi, as soon I get my next availability on train. It was a horrible experience altogether.

- 2-3 minutes walk from the West Gate. Very convenient to walk to Taj early in the morning for a sunrise picture. - Room was neat and clean - Restaurant was very good (though expensive) - Staff was good

This is a small hotel (20 rooms) with a big view of the Taj from the rooftop (located just 200m away from Taj West Gate). Despite being discouraged by the autowallah (they always try to take you to a hotel of their choice) we decided to check this out. Initial suspicions were washed away by the cordial behavior of the hotel staff, cleanliness of the rooms and quality of the small hotel restaurant (though a bit overpriced). The only negative aspect of the hotel is its location on the road to Taj West Gate where no cars are allowed and after 8pm it gets particularly dark and deserted. But in the daytime the same location is advantageous as no other decent hotel is located so close to the magnificent Taj Mahal. In short, If you are looking for a good value for money, I would recommend this hotel to you.

Hotel rooms were very small,not well ventilated,staff not very receptive,only positive point could be the location near to Taj Mahal.

Bugs everywhere. Considering money, its cheap and good.

The standard rooms are very bad...ac rooms are good....food quality is very bad they dnt kno how to cook...but the location of the hotel is awwsome...nd no other hotel can counter it...if i have access to a good resturant they i would prefer this to any other hotel...stay in the ac rooms only..

Good hotel to stay

The best part about the hotel is its location and its proximity towards Taj. Less than 5 minutes to the Taj West gate. If you are planning to see Taj in the morning it is very convenient. Not really good if you look at the facilities in the hotel and for staying for long duration, it is just ideal for a stop over. However, the hotel staff was kind and helpful.
