Hotel Ritz Plaza Reviews, Amritsar

It was a nice experience.

As we walked towards our room which was located at end of lobby, the stale smell in lobby was killing the ambiance of a 3/4 star hotel. The room is cramped, with a 20 year old television without a working remote and selected 15 dead channels. The fountain in garden works on desire of the staff (1/2 hour in 2 day stay). No bathtub/ water-jet if you desire. Snacks served at dinner buffet were stale and appeared straight from freezer. Spending around Rs8000 for 2 nights is a bit too much.

Hotel Ritz Plaza is a wonderful place to stay. Away from the maddening crowd and traffic hustle of Jaipur city yet close to the places of interest. The beds are super comfortable, nice decor in the rooms, decent views of the Jaipur city, very decent spread at breakfast and other meals. Overall a very comfortable stay and at decent prices of Rs 6000 during the peak November season. The only thing which upset me (and maybe this is a Jaipur thing) is the slow speed of response to room service and other services. You have to remind them 3 times before any action is taken. e.g. we were a family of 4 and needed extra beds and a baby cot. This took more than 40 minutes for response and also a call to the hotel manager. Getting towels from the housekeeping also takes time. The safe provided in the room was auto-locked and in spite of repeated reminders nobody turned up to open it during all three days of our stay.

It is of 3 star standard.
