Hotel Rajdoot Reviews, Shimla

Ovearall reponse of the Hotel Management is very Poor, after confirmation letter they don't know the booking plan, I had already paid the Hotel Bill charges with the addittional bed worth Rs. 750/- for two days, but they did not give us the facility with make an excuse that they don't have the extra bed. So Many people have so many complaints there about services & Water suplies. I would not advise anyone to book this hotel at all.

Hotel is good for economy class.

The staff behavior was not good, rest was just ok.

The staff lacks hotel management skills. No signs of hospitality. The bed was very uncomfortable with dirty blankets. There was very old fashioned TV without remote which would only reflect blurry images when browsed. The hotel food was too expensive. I would recommend to walk for 5 minutes, and enjoy better quality and better food services in the restaurants present in main market.

We were made to wait for more than 2 hours for getting entry into our hotel room. Though we had booked the room in advance for the lame excuse that the check in time starts only at 12.00 p.m. One fails to understand where a family will stay with all their baggage if they reach early in the morning say around 5 or 6 in the morning especially in a place like Shimla where we do not have any relatives who can offer us accommodation.

Hotel is down side of hill. Approach road very steep slope you have to walk down from main road and also the way is full of bad smell as this is under railway track.

The service is very poor. It is complete wastage of money. Location is somehow ok. I am now satisfied with the hotel.

Hotel Rajdoot is a stone's throw form ISBT Shimla. The place is not ideal for stay as it is 10 minute steep climb away from the Mall Road. Access to Mall Road is key to enjoying Shimla. The bedsheets were white linen with visible stains from the activities of previous occupants. When I called the manager on duty to have the repulsive sheets removed, he insisted that they were clean!! I had to make a another call and put my foot down before a ward boy came with another set of off-white sheets which in comparison was bearable for one night's stay! The room we got did not have the best view, in fact it was overlooking a road and noise could be overheard, also, there were water tanks outside the room that keep you awake at night with motor pump running to fill them up. The managers are neither polite nor understand service minded. They have a tie up with a tour operator who will promise to take you to Kufri for a "paltry sum" of Rs 700/-, while the same costs Rs 250/- by HPTDC. They promise to show you Wildflower Hall, which was burned down years ago and doesnÂ’t exist, Fagu Valley, for which you will have to pay additional Rs380/- from Kufri by dirty stinking Mule, Green Valley and other points that are en- route and not worth charging for!!
