Hotel President Overview - Dalhousie A relatively new property that was started in 2005, Hotel President is a white four storey structure with a green roof. The entrance is via a short paved pathway that leads off the road into the central hall of the hotel. The reception and lobby are at the end of the corridor while the elevator is in the centre.

The building is constructed such that the top floor, which houses the reception, lobby and parking area, is parallel to the road while the three floors housing the rooms are below. The architecture follows the central courtyard theme whereby there is a central hall with a spiral staircase, around which the rooms have been constructed. So, whether you stand on the top floor or the ground floor, you can still see all parts of the hotel.

Rooms
The hotel offers comfortable accommodation in 29 well furnished rooms that are divided into 17 Deluxe rooms, 6 Super Deluxe rooms and 6 Family Suites. The rooms are spread across three floors which are colour coded. Rooms on each floor have been decorated and furnished in one particular colour. While the rooms on the ground floor are done up in grey, the ones on the first floor are all green. The brightest floor is the second floor, which boasts of orange decor.

Each room is fully carpeted and appointed with modern amenities like cable television, intercom, cushioned chairs, with center table, dressing table with full length mirror and a cupboard. Washroom amenities include soap, shampoo, linen and a geyser. The Super Deluxe rooms have individual balconies and a bathtub in the attached washroom while the Family Suites have a separate living room with a study table, refrigerator and a sofa cum bed in addition to all other amenities.

Please note that room heaters are provided at an extra cost.

Dining
Hotel President has a pure vegetarian restaurant that serves a delectable range of Indian, Chinese and Gujarati cuisines besides select Continental dishes. The restaurant is open for breakfast (7 am - 11 am), lunch (1 pm - 3 pm) and dinner (7:30 pm - 10:30 pm) and serves select snacks in between. Room service menu and timings are the same as the restaurant.

Services & Facilities
A conference hall big enough to accommodate up to 100 guests is currently under construction while the hotel offers a host of other facilities like car rental service, travel desk, capsule lift, laundry service, housekeeping service, doctor on call and spacious covered parking. The hotel also organises transfers from and to the bus stand as well as Pathankot.

Don't Miss
The view from the hotel is absolutely breathtaking. Most rooms in the hotel face the valley, thus offering a clear view of the mountains as well as the forest area below.

Located on Panchpulla Road, Hotel President lies within walking distance from Gandhi Chowk in Dalhousie. It is 2 kms away from the bus stand and 20 kms away from Khajjiar. While the nearest railway station and airport are 82 kms away at Pathankot, Dharamshala is 135 kilometres away from the hotel.
