Small nice hotel. Good for budget travellers. A balcony with each room would have made it almost perfect.

Far from the madding crowd, Hotel Oakwood, Chail cradled in the lap of nature with ethereal beauty of the locale. Particularly the panoramic view of the sunset amidst the hills, is one of the best places to stay at and retire temporarily in a world of dreams and solace. A hotel located at a real hill station-its serenity untouched by the human exploits.

This was my first visit to Chail and I really enjoyed my short trip to this lovely hill-station away from the city life. My stay at Hotel Oakwood was very comfortable and went a long way in making this trip memorable for us. The hotel is well furnished and offers a very cozy environment to the visitors. The staff is very hospitable and ensures that the guests are well taken care of. Though, the hotel is around 2 kms from the main market (which is very small), one can easily walk to the market and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings. The hotel is easily accessible by buses and taxis. The rooms face the valley giving a panoramic view of the surrounding mountain ranges. The room and food charges are reasonable and offer good value for money for a budget traveler. The owners of the hotel stay at the top floor of this hotel and pay personal attention to the comfort of the guests which really makes you feel at home. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to budget travelers looking for a comfortable stay in Chail.
