Hotel Neelakanta Reviews, Kovalam And Poovar

A well maintained hotel with responsive service. Food quality was good but time taken was disproportionately high. All rooms having sea-viewing balcony/ window is a positive. Though slightly costly, it is definitely worth staying there.

The hotel is located (like many other hotels in that area) just in front of the famous light house beach at kovalam. The rooms are nice and big and with a great-view balcony (views are good from 2nd floor). The hotel does not have a restaurant of its own and orders it from the nearest eatery (just in front of the hotel). The reception staffs are helpful; however the service boys are dumb and useless and does not understand english or hindi. They were so dumb that after ordering lunch the first day, we did not order anything via room service. We always went down to the restaurant and had a good food there. The restaurants just in front of the hotel as well as nearby ones offers diverse cuisines. And also beacuse of presence of large number of foreigners in the area, continental menu is superb. The hotel also offers a good seaview though terrace pool. The pool is well maintained.
