Hotel MGR Regency Reviews, Pondicherry

-> Good hotel. -> Total value for money. -> Ideal if you have your own car since the location is about 2-3 kms away from the center of city. -> Staff is courteous and well mannered. -> Car parking is available. But not more than 7-8 cars can be parked at a time. I had no problem as there were only 2 cars when i had booked the rooms. -> Attached restaurant serves decent food. -> Overall, a pleasant experience. I recommend this hotel.

It is far from the downtown. Hotel should provide tea making arrangements in the room because services are poor.

New and clean rooms. Courteous and friendly staff. Slightly away from the main town....recommended for people having their own vehicle. Overall - Value for money.

Except that I had to keep on complaining about the A/C rest all were good. The room had only one fan and the second bed wont be covered by the same. Rest the stay was fine and satisfactory

The hotel is extremely well maintained. The interior is superb compared to any 3 star hotel. Also the price is very affordable. Only problem is its location about 5 kms away from beach; but no problem as local transport is easily available. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very Bad experience. My family reached @5 pm in the evening, we had skipped lunch to avoid break in journey. The restaurant refused to take any order before 7.30 pm. They only served coffee. The boy came with a flask, poured coffee in 3 cups and took away the flask saying it had coffee for other rooms too. Being hungry, we went out for dinner. Post dinner, we requested for tea before going off to sleep. The same was not available as it was "DINNER TIME". In the morning, we had to leave by 8 am to catch a flight room Chennai airport @ 12 pm. They had no tea / coffee or breakfast. The milk got delayed in delivery. On the website, it mentions about a fruit basket which was never given. Also at the the time of checkout, the manager asked me for Rs.1500 even though we had only two room service bills for coffee. They had to check several records to confirm that the room payment had been made online already. The room had a strange smell. Not at all recommended.
