Friendly and courteous staff.

Hotel Golden Tulip is a stylish, newly renovated business hotel. Flat screen TV, refrigerator with full minibar, soft white duvets covers, wood and marble floors and strong warm showers make one feel right at home! Fresh fruit, egg white omelet and tea breakfast was perfect and all ordered from the vast dinner menu was absolutely delicious. It is regrettable that Darjeeling tea or espresso is not offered in the restaurant. Hotel staff were extremely helpful in providing car service to the boarder and answering several practical questions about Amritsar. This is my top hotel pick upon my returns to Amritsar. Over all a great value tucked away in land of often expensive, disappointing hotels.

Though not a very new property, hotel was maintained well. With the courteous front office staff and excellent restaurant staff, this hotel offered me and my wife an unforgettable trip. FOM Mr.Dheeraj, needs a special mention here for arranging a delicious chocolate cake with a very short notice to celebrate my wife's birthday. Complimentary chocolates on her birthday were a special touch too. We were given a clean, spacious room with tasty cookies. A new car had been provided for our sightseeing and non-English spoken driver (Ranjith) was polite and good on time. Overall we had a peaceful trip though Amritsar was steaming hot.

I just got back from Amritsar and I have to say I really enjoyed my trip staying at Hotel Grand Legacy. There are definite pros and cons but in general when I will revisit Amritsar I will choose to stay here. Though I was in Amritsar to visit Golden Temple I had a fair amount of time on my own. After doing a lot of research for hotel on internet I chose to stay in the Hotel Grand Legacy and I am really glad I made this choice. I had booked 2 rooms, 1 for my parents and 1 for my family. We all enjoyed our stay so much that we never wanted to leave. We reached Amritsar late in the night around 23:00 hours on 4-4-2010 and the best part about this hotel is the approachability. This hotel is boldly situated on the main road barely about a kilometer away from Amritsar railway station. Front desk is attractive and hotel staff is co-operative. Main lobby is big, nice and very clean. The room itself is nice and well maintained. Bedding too is very comfortable, neat and clean. Air conditioner in one of our room was not functioning up to the mark, cooling was poor. Therefore it was upgraded immediately without any hassle by changing the room the very next day. It was nice to have complimentary bottled water and tea/coffee every day. There was a LCD television for entertainment so we never missed any episode of our favorite serial also connected was a DVD player to watch movie of your choice (so better carry some) or you can even rent one. Each room is equipped with a refrigerator which was great for storing stuff like Beer and other hard drinks and soft drinks as well. Food is simply yummy but prices are high, however it is average for this type of hotel. The room service charges however were out of sight! My son had good time browsing internet and playing computer games through net. This hotel provides complimentary internet & Wi-Fi in the main lobby. For the health conscious people there is well equipped health club which can be used and this too is complimentary. Car on rent facility is available at a reasonable price. I wanted a place that provided a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy activities if I wanted or to do nothing at all. As my days progressed I found myself enjoying the nothing at all part and there are many relaxing places like Behind Bars and China White, etc. to do so at this hotel. We checked-out on 8-4-2010 completely satisfied with the services provided and VIP like treatment extended to us. Now back again in Mumbai into our routine life with fond memories of Golden Temple and Hotel Grand Legacy. Whenever I visit Amritsar next time in my life I will go back to Hotel Grand Legacy without hesitation and I recommend if you too are planning to visit Amritsar just check-in once at Hotel Grand Legacy, you will simply like it.

I booked this hotel since this was only one of the few 4 star hotels in Amritsar. The condition of the hotel is very good. The rooms are well kept. The front office staff is a little unresponsive and forgetful and I guess they donÂ’t co-ordinate well amongst themselves. The food was great and so was the live ghazal but for the services offered I found this a tad expensive. Final Verdict: One of the best hotels in Amritsar, hardly a 20 minute drive to Wagah Border. Decent value for money.

The Hotel room is the only good part during our stay. The hotel didn't provide us the necessary information about the local sightseeing. Moreover they charged us 1800 for local sight seeing. Also the staff at reception didnt provide us the correct information about Amritsar Manali route and suggested us to go to Chandigarh and then to Manali and charged us 4K for Amritsar Chandigarah taxi which when discussed with friends, should be 3K max. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was good and should be maintained as it is being maintained right now.
