Hotel De Park Reviews, Shimla

It is situated 5kms away from main Shimla, so be careful while booking, local cab takes 350 bucks to get you to main shimla (mall). Hotel looks decent from outside, however no attention is given on room cleanliness, housekeeping services, maintenance of room furniture and furnishing. The bed cloth was stained, blanket was years old & torn at places, bathroom towels weren't washed (given only after asking). Food was decent, restaurant was dirty also. The hotel has got spacious but ill-maintained lounge. Hotel stuffs were good enough. I can only recommend this to be taken at your own risk

Hotel De Park is on the Shimla-Kalka highway and is about 5 km away from Mall Road. It is one of the oldest hotels in this area and its age was evident in the standard of our room - the walls sported cracks, the bathroom was relatively small and the tub had a visible long crack. However, the staffs were cooperative and our stay was comfortable considering that we only stayed a night. I would recommend this hotel for budget travellers who only plan to spend a night or so here and then move on.

A good hotel but upkeep and maintenance of the rooms are not looked after. With the kind of a little more personal touch it can become much better. Cleanliness is an issue. Food is good. Overall an average hotel.

This is a nice hotel with excellent services. Bathroom is not upto the standard.
