Front desk staff was poor and food was not good

The location is good and the service is good. The hotel room is not upto the mark for the money they charged. Air Condition is working, but there is some issue with the remote. I have complained and somebody came and helped, but still the remote was worst. The pathatic condition was, I needed to hold the on/off button for more than 1 minute to switch off/switch on the AC. The toilet has no ventilation, because of the smells bad most of the times. the Balcony space is very very less. Totally the service from the staff is good, but the room is not worth for the money paid. Cable TV is not clear and they dont have any satellite connection, they have only local cable connection for TV.

A good hotel located in a lovely part of the country, the Coorg international is easy to recommend. It's easy to find, and is located in a very nice part of the city. The facilities are good, and what else would you expect from a 3 star hotel. The bar was recently modernised, and is a big plus as the place in general, although clean and functional, is dated looking and the usual brown drab colours one sees in these older hotels. The food is my only gripe and it doesn't really cater for international tastes, although the menu may say so. I guess everything there has to be spicy. But surely salt would be enough on the international dishes? Breakfast is very basic if you are not eating Indian and the menu in general is pretty small. Overall, if you are looking for a bed to put your head down after a days tour, this is the place. The bar is lovely, but don't expect much more. And, think about the price. Almost $100 a night. I'd expect free internet in the room, and better food.

Its really worth around Rs 1000 per night. Rooms are old, no full time hot water service, hapazard food services, only the rates are of international standard....don't get fooled.

Coorg International offers an excellent standard of hospitality and warmth. Location of the hotel is beautiful and offers a clear view point of Madikeri town and the environs. There are clear signages that help the guest approach the hotel with ease. The guest on arrival is greeted with ample parking space, a swimming pool, cycles, and affordable travel desk for local sightseeing. The hotel is an ideal place of stay for a family. The rooms are immaculately clean and well-appointed open out to a private balcony-cum-courtyard for hosting an evening party under the star-lit sky. The staff are well-trained, have an eye for detail, are super-responsive, efficient and courteous. Room service is great and even serves hot milk and other goodies for kids. Silver Oaks- the multi-cuisine restaurant serves up really tasty and carefully prepared dishes. The overall experience leaves the guest pampered and wanting more. Does not have facilities for the tariff they charges.

The food served in the hotel was sub standard. The hot water service in the bath rooms always get distrupted.
