Hotel Ashiana Regency Reviews, Shimla

Great.

Me and my wife were in Shimla for a weekend trip and the most important parameter for my hotel selection was the distance from key tourist attractions. This hotel was nicely located at about 15-20 minutes walking distance from Mall road and other attractions. Because of the pleasant weather, we went for a walk to Mall road daily and it was fun, especially with the hawkers selling some mouth watering delicacies on the way. The rooms were ok and were decently served by the staff. The hotel food requires some improvement but was manageable. One thing that I loved about the hotel was its terrace facing the valley. This is a great place to have long breakfasts and dinners. The bar is also great with a very good ambience. Overall, I was quite happy with my decision to stay here and am satisfied with the hotel. The hotel stay was good value for money.

Status of 2 Star needs to be reviewed.

Hotel room is good. Charged extra money for room heater which was not mentioned at the time of booking. Food in the hotel restaurant is not good. Water Heater was quite slow and we had to almost take bath with cold water.
