Grand Palace Hotel and Spa Reviews, Yercaud

The hotel is located well and the signage to the hotel is good. The appearance of the hotel from the outside is nice. But that is where the good part ends. The corridors leading to the room had a hospital like smell. Rooms were not kept well, the linen was of low grade/old. There were dead mosquito on the sheets. The room service when taking the order will give you a time of 20mins for order to be ready. After 20 mins a reminder call would get a response saying that it would take further 20 mins. The room service just was extremely poor.

Hotel Room had a pleasant view of the lake and also the scenic mountain .The Hotel staff were friendly .Food ordered from the court was good ..buffet dinner was horrible. Played some TT , badminton and Carom . Kerala Massage was very relaxing. The overall experience of the Hotel ambience, Stay ,food and its staff was good .

Overall good: food was good, Staffs were polite. They could have been more responsive when we ordered food. More hospitality could have been shown by proactively enquiring about our comfort, suggesting places to visit etc. We felt the staff were junior and not empowered enough. Rooms need AC as the weather was hot when we went there.

Very well maintained & professionally managed. Food - quality & taste excellent. Approach road needs repair. A little more effort in room service would make it eligible for "Excellent" rating.

Amazing services. The staff even gave me a slice of a cake at 12 midnight and always smiling. Amazing services from Grand Palace. To reach hotel, the road is really in worse condition.

Actually this is my second stay in grand palace ,Yercaud.But this stay is better than the previous one as far as the room is concerned. I enjoyed my stay altogether. Good for family stay as everything is at your door step- parking, restaurant, child play area and the lake.Best to go for valley view rooms, view is really breath taking.My only concern is they charged rs 45 for a litre of aquafina mineral water, which is three times the maximum retail price. This is my only dissatisfaction as goods which are having MRP should not be sold at a different/astronomical price. Paying such a price is not a problem in the affordability point of view, but it paints a bad picture on the hotels image, as it will be otherwise.Kindly try to rectify or educate about this concern.

Good location but far from the main road and also the room service is not so good. Breakfast needs to be served early not at 08:00 AM so that the travelers get more time to roam around the city. Road map of the location should be updated in the site, only the hotel description is been provided.

- No Running hot water - Stinking smell from a drain closeby (may be an issue for Room Number 407) - Food was very costly - and oily - Found cockroaches in bath tub.

The quality of the room was not up to the mark. The room was outside the hotel, away from the rest of the rooms.
