The hotel location and service is good. Room condition is fine but air condition was old.

I booked a room for 2 for our honeymoon trip to Andaman, and I'm so happy to have done that. The hotel is mostly built of wood, giving an exotic living experience. The room is an ideal combination of luxury and at-home feeling. We had nice furniture, a good working TV, a small refrigerator, wardrobe and a small safe as well!! The food is top class. We enjoyed the appetizing taste, having a great view of the sea and the hills. The buffet breakfast is especially wonderful, with lot of options (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian) to choose from. They also provide packed food, in case we travel at odd times. The service is truly worth the brand name - all hotel staff / attendants were courteous and friendly, and happily helped us with a smile everytime. We were even given a sweet surprise with a big chocolate cake one day (not billed!!) The only downsides we had- 1. The in-house travel desk was bit costly, and required cash payments. 2. They missed my request for airport pickup.

The hotel has a fanstastic location and excellent service. The staff were extremely efficient, always willing to go the extra mile and the service was prompt. The quality of food was excellent and the bar man made some good cocktails

I could spend very happy holiday there. I strongly recommend this place when you visit Port Blair.

The room had absolutely no sound proofing. Could barely hear the TV over the people talking next door. And was awakened at almost 4:00 a.m. by the same.

The hotel enjoys the advantage that its one of the oldest and best known properties. The fact that its a subsidiary of the ITC only helps them. Tucked away at the very bottom of port blair, most rooms have a decent sea view...the kitchen claims to be multi cuisine but is inconsistent - strange for an ITC property. They also randomly run out of food that they have put in the room service menu, and stocks arent reordered for days!! (either change the menu or order the item guys!) Service is efficient but cannot take criticism well. Any escalations made are immediately attended to and the rooms are appointed well enough for the location. While port blair is overall fairly expensive, the fortune manages to get away with its premium image and pricing...though it may not remain that way for very long!
