If you want a hotel far from civilization and noisy tourist, this is an ideal place. Getting there from Munnar town takes about 30 mins, and itÂ’s advisable if you have your own transport.

The ambience was pleasing and the rooms were of very good standard. The hotel were surrounded by tall trees, stream flow sound and early morning birds sound were to be felt in presence than getting narrated by others.

It is a place for nature lovers. The river bed bathing - Natural Swimming Pool - is the best of all.

Thought the hotel is 15 KM from Munnar town, we had great experience of getting the real "forest" feel. The hotel has a stream running in the back, which the management has very creatively set up as a natural pool. Enjoyed a lot. Food was good. Other services like indoor games add to the attraction. Very courteous and smart staff.

This hotel is 16 kms away from the Munnar town, after 6pm its is difficult to reach there because evenings the climate will be foggy that area. The hotel does not have any facility like restaurant, gym, tour arrangement; they were not even keeping the towel and soap at the room till we ask. The room is not neat. The hotel is waste of money, its not worth for anything and better hotels are available at cheaper rate even near to Munnar. The buffet breakfast had only very few items dosa, curry, bread slice and omelet.

Being 15 kms away from Munnar town is fine, provided the hotel and services are good. But, here they satisfy neither. I would rather compare this with that of a ordinary lodge. Food served are also not good. Thoroughly avoidable.

The Hotel location was good. But quiet far away from the bus stand (around 17 kms). We hired an auto who charged us 175. The room was good and was jungle facing as promised by the hotel management during the time of booking. The food was also good.

If you have your own transportation, you are good. Else be prepared to spend money for 4/8 hour transport bookings daily- this hotel is located "somewhat" in the wilderness. We booked a 'Forest View' room and were given the Lotus room - probably a free upgrade. The staff aspires to be helpful to you. It helps if you give food order approximately 60 minutes in advance. The natural pool advertised by other reviewers is a damp squib - you can see fighter water-spiders though. This place is at par with expectations for Rs. 2000/day for a room.

Forest Haven Stands for its name. It is located approx 20 kms from Central Munnar (On the way to Cochin). The hotel has around 24 rooms. We had booked two rooms and both of them had an amazing view through the balcony. You can see tall trees all around. They also have a natural swimming pool (fresh mountain water flowing few metres away from the hotel premises). One cannot expect urban luxury in such resort and believe me, you won't miss it. The hotel is equipped with facilities like TV (with most of the common channels), phone, hot water, clean/ well maintained bathrooms, small restaurant. The hotel staff is warm and accomodating. Bonfire (with music 1500 INR and without music 750 INR) can be arranged. We had bonfire on both the days we stayed there. It was an awesome experience to be in the centre of a forest and enjoy the fresh air and the bonfire. One would not get many options in the restaurant. However, the staff/ cook are very accomodating and if you give enough notice they will prepare food to your taste. The place is awesome for two categories of people. One, people on honeymoons (no disturbance et all, not even mobile phones ;) ) and second for people who love adventure. We rarely moved out of the hotel. On the negative side, the hotel is remotely located, therefore for the first time it is difficult to find. There are small signboards on the Cochin Highway, which say "1 km away", "1.5 kms away" , when actually the hotel is 5 kms away. A private vehicle of some kind is highly desirable as it works out very handy.

the location is no doubt ideallic, but fails to impress when youre left waiting for 1.5hrs for your meal be it lunch/dinner or breakfast. the intercom we were told was out of order for all 3days and no mobile signals made communicaiton impossible, not to mention no internet facilities. its a real strain on families with children to make a good vacation out of the place.

The hotel is situated in a jungle, excellent place for who prefer to stay away from habitation. Swimming pool is natural flowing water, the walk towards the place is an excellent experience. Food is made to order. Excellent friendly service.

Hotel is situated in the forest and would be prefrred by people who wish to stay amidst nature. Swimming area is natural flowing water, the walk towards this place is very enchanting. Did not try swimming but enjoyed every moment. Nice friendly people. Good service. It is possible to miss the service road while driving towards Munnar. You need to pay attention to the signbaoard, which is quite small. Enjoyed every moment of the stay.
