The Diplomat is OK, literally. It is dated in style and the reception area is not very inviting. We had a Deluxe room which was spacious and clean but the bathroom could do with renovating and there could be more choice on the TV channels (WB was the only English station apart from News). The location is great if you want to leave the hotel and walk to a restaurant, but a bit too far away from the rest of Mumbai if you want to go anywhere else. The Room Service is a little on the expensive side compared to other hotels in that price range. I enjoyed my stay there.

The hotel was nicely located. I chose a Deluxe Room, which was OK, much more like a Standard Room which I am happy not to have selected. I asked for a late check out (5pm) and they asked me to pay half the price of the room (INR 2700), which I think is not very fair, Rs 1000 would have been a good bargain. There was no bottle water in the Deluxe Room, I had to pay for it. Otherwise the room was clean and the mattress comfortable.

The hotel is in the perfect location right behind the Taj Hotel, near the sea area. I had pleasant stay of 2 nights at the hotel. Its service was good and staffs were courteous, but the receptionist needs to be more kind and nice. The food was great and the value for money is okay. Though the rate is quite overpriced for such low-budget rooms, you're paying for the location. Recommended.

Basically you are paying for the location of this hotel which is great. The room was basic, could have been cleaner, but at least there was hot water and air-conditioner!

The service and people attending at reception were very good and kind. But the room were dirty, very noisy and I didn't enjoy our stay. Internet should have an easier and complimentary.

Excellent location right behind the TAG. It is very convenient if you want to enjoy night life of south Mumbai.

Hotel service was prompt. When AC was not working, immediately my room was changed. TV channels and reception should improve.For example, I could not view IPL matches.
