Location
The resort is located right at the edge of the Corbett Tiger Reserve, the River Kosi rushing by on one side. The Bijrana gate of the Reserve is 12 kms away while the Ramnagar railway station and bus stand lie at a distance of 15 kms.

Suman Grand spreads over an area of 1.5 acres and is barely a year old - the upside being that it is in good shape, the staff attentive and the rooms well kept. The first thing that you notice as you enter the lobby is a life size stuffed model of a rather ferocious looking tiger. It serves to reinstate your ultimate desire while on a trip to Corbett - spotting the elusive beast. This is also the only resort in the Garjiya area to share a boundary wall with the Tiger Reserve. Beyond the wall there are tall trees and great wilderness. During late evenings, if you are lucky you might even spot a deer.

Facilities and Services
The resort has two well-equipped conference halls, one that can accommodate 30-35 guests and the other over 80. The halls come equipped with LCD screen, projector and so on. An amphitheatre in the garden area is the perfect venue for organising parties. An elaborate water fountain runs along the amphitheatre, with twinkling lights and gurgling eddies. The resort also has badminton and volleyball courts. Indoor entertainment includes games such as carom and chess, while wildlife films are screened regularly in the conference hall. For outdoor activities the resort organises river rafting during the monsoons and also river rappelling.

Across the mango orchard, the resort's inviting swimming pool is situated on a raised platform, shaded by tall trees beyond the boundary wall. Jump in for a refreshing dip during the day or simply lounge at the deck chairs at night, listening to the river rushing by as the forest falls still and retires for the night. The use of the pool is free for all guests. The resort also arranges for sightseeing beyond Ramnagar and car rental. Other facilities include a travel desk, laundry service, housekeeping and car parking.

Room Amenities
The 24 air conditioned rooms at the resort can accommodate a total of 66 adults on a sharing basis as 18 rooms come with an extra bed. The rooms are stand-alone, each with a private sit out/balcony with a view of the surrounding mountains, located around a large garden with shady mango trees. River Kosi runs at the back of the resort, making you feel completely connected with nature. All rooms are appointed with modern facilities such as telephone, tea/coffee maker, sofa chairs, wardrobe, a life size mirror and luggage rack. There is also a fireplace in the rooms that can be lit during chilly winter months. En suite washrooms have round the clock hot and cold running water with a geyser, shower and bath amenities such as moisturiser, shampoo, soap, shower cap and fresh towels.

Dining
The resort's dining hall is sparse, with off white walls and khaki drapes. Oblong lamps hang from the ceiling beneath which a filling buffet is laid out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Largely Indian cuisine is served although Continental, English and American breakfast is on offer, as are numerous snacks such as sandwiches. The waiters are polite and attend to all your needs. The dining hall can accommodate 54 guests.

Please note: It is always advisable to book safaris prior to arrival, especially during weekends as there are only 60 vehicles allowed inside the National Park at a time. Depending on the no. of guests, the estimated cost of safari vehicles will be between Rs 2600- Rs 3000. Guests can directly contact the hotels and book their safaris.
