Camp Red Stone-Outskirts of Dehradun Overview - Dehradun Camp Red Stone is located in Mahendrapur, Dehradun, in the foothills of the lower western Himalayas. It is at an altitude of 1000 meters, and is about 18 km from the bustling activity of Dehradun. The camp is spread over 20 acres, and is set amidst a lush green Sal forest. It is alongside the Song River, which literally flows through the camp. The perfect retreat for unwinding in the lap of nature, Camp Red Stone also offers a suitable environment for corporate outbound training. Animals like wild boars, deer, leopards, and various birds can also be spotted.

Rooms
Camp Red Stone sticks to nature, and there are no constructed rooms, but only tents. These are American style Canvas Safari tents with an area of 10 ft by 12 ft, containing two beds with mattresses and quilts. The tents are not all huddled together, but instead pitched over a well spread out area. Toilets at the camp are in a central compound. There are 8 Western style commodes with running water, and 5 Bathrooms. Hot water can also be made available on request, through geysers. More toilets and bathrooms can be pitched (dry pit only) with advance notification, for bigger groups. The camp can handle groups of 300 at a time for the Night Program and up to 1000 people at a time for a Day's offsite.

Dining
At Camp Red Stone, the guest can be assured of fine dining and professional service. The kitchen is well equipped with modern facilities and is hygienic. It serves Indian cuisine along with local delicacies. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian barbeques are also arranged around the campfire. Camp Red Stone also has a lounge cum bar.

Facilities
There are many facilities and services available at Camp Red Stone, including conference facilities: there is an amphitheatre that can seat over 300 people, where basic stationery like like a board, markers, and flip charts are available, making for an ideal location for outbound training.
Adventure Sports: There are numerous activities possible in and around camp site, including: bungee swing, rappelling, rock climbing, Burma bridge, double rope bridge, body surfing, cave exploration, trekking, paragliding, flying fox, monkey crawling, river crossing, splash swimming, fishing and angling, obstacle courses, river rafting, and even hot-air ballooning.
Recreation: Camp Red Stone also offers a volleyball court, an archery set, badminton, daily bonfires, village treks, and cricket.

Location
Located approximately 18 km from Dehradun in Mahendrapur Village, Camp Red Stone is about 270 km from Delhi, 70 km from Haridwar, and 45 km from Mussoorie. Transfers from Dehradun are via Jeep/Bus. The guests then need to trek 1 km from the road head to reach the camp. The luggage will be transferred on ponies.
