Room condition was not as expected

A good and comfortable quiet place with green surroundings. Service was good and staff was polite. I liked the hotel pretty much.

The hotel is very well planned, and is an example of fine landscaping; relaxed, open yet private, sprawling yet intimate. However, the interiors are as much of a let down as the exteriors are a high; the aesthetics are mediocre to say the least, given the price band that they are operating at. They lack the class and sophistication of the property's exteriors, and I suspect other properties of the same chain. The Achilles ‘heel of the property, without a doubt, is its management. The rooms are not well aired; they smell damp and musty, the floor under the furniture is coated with unswept dust, the room which we had (and we were one of the only two sets of guest occupying the entire huge resort at that time) had a malfunctioning flush. When we complained, the plumber came and asked us to 'adjust' by holding the flush knob very hard or something like that!! The staff is very nice and helpful, but they seem to be at the hands a disinterested, aloof, inefficient manager.
