I stayed at Avalon Court previously in 2008, with family, and my experience was good, which is why I decided to stay with them again in 2009. However, as the property ages I've noticed the service and comfort levels at the hotel have dropped. I stayed for a total of 3 nights at Rs.4000 per night for a double room. The price is inclusive of taxes and breakfast buffet. While this initially seems like excellent value, the poor breakfast service quickly dissipates any perceived value. Breakfast is laid out from 7am to 10pm and I went down to breakfast at different times during my stay. My first day there I went down to breakfast at 7:20am. Everything was laid out but I was surprised to find the food was cold. Everything from the Chicken fingers to Idli and Sambar was cold. I tried a little of everything but enjoyed nothing and settled for a cup of tea. The next day I arrived for breakfast at 9:30am and was welcomed by cold food again. This time I complained to a member of the serving staff, who just gave me a blank look as if not knowing how to respond. I then pointedly asked him what he needs to do under the circumstance heat the food he replied great I thought we are getting somewhere. It took them 30 minutes to heat all the food by which time breakfast time was up. I did notice that guests at other tables who earlier seemed disinterested in the food rushed to the buffet when they saw steaming hot food arrive. Later that day I met the hotel manager and informed him about my experience, he apologized and assured me he would remedy the problem the next morning. My final day at the hotel I arrived for breakfast at 7:30am and found the food cold again. My family didn't bother to come down for breakfast on the final day after experiencing the previous two days. During my stay I did try their pool. The water was very cold and after about 4 minutes in the pool I noticed my daughters teeth were chattering so we promptly got out. The pool attendant claimed the water was room temperature, certainly didn't feel like it. Our room looked clean but there was a lot of lint in the air, which if you have asthma like me will agitate the problem. We did order room service twice but found the food taste and quality below average, which is a real problem as the remote location of the hotel makes it difficult to find suitable alternatives. There was a 20 inch LCD TV in the room with over a 100 channels of programming both English and Indian languages. The shower in the washroom was great lots of hot and cold water for the whole family. I paid an additional Rs.1800 for room service. My total bill for a 3 night stay was Rs.13800. Check in/out was fast and hassle free. Staff is friendly and helpful even if somewhat incompetent. If having decent food available at the hotel is important to you I wouldn't recommend this hotel for the same reasons I've mentioned above.

Everything is great except location. Rooms are so neat & clean like 5 stars. They do provide fast service. I advice to book the hotel only from MakeMyTrip.com because you wil get great deal price for this hotel or any other hotel.

The hotel was nice and the staff very helpful, but the location of the hotel made it very difficult to reach. We thought it could be a convenient stay near the airport, but in fact it is still about 18 km away from it.

The approach to the hotel is pretty confusing, and the roads are pretty bad but the hotel itself on the inside is pretty beautiful...with a big banyan tree overshadowing eveything else. It all comes together in one central atrium. So from the begining...the check-in is quite a breeze, and though the rooms are nothing to write home about, they are pretty nice for the price you pay. There's a 19" LCD in every room and an ok bathroom, though a bit small if you ask me. The food menu's pathetic. And there's no 24 hour room service, beware. The customer service is pretty good, though sometimes you gotta be insistent to get your point across. Overall, a nice hotel to go to, but please do not keep your expectations too high...else you might just come back disappointed.

Avalon Courtyard is like an oasis in the desert! In Gurgaon, the road that leads to it is bumpy and filled with potholes so when you're driving, you're curious to know what awaits your arrival. The hotel lobby is something else. It has a banyan tree in the centre, giving the effect that the hotel was built around it. The receptionist was friendly. The rooms were something new and fresh. There was a sofa with a flat screen tv and a small kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge, plates and cutlery. A great idea for guests like me who stayed for over a week. The room is spacious with a wooden floor and done in bright colors and thankfully not the typical Indian interiors that most hotels have. The bathroom was big with a shower enclosure, soap, shampoo and towels etc. The restaurant and room service offering was good - lots of variety and the quantity was large. One of the nicest things about this hotel is the pool. Though small and indoor, it can be seen from the lobby area through large glass windows. At night, the pool is lit up and the whole area looks beautiful. There is also a gym and massage services, which I didn't have time to try...maybe next time. Overall, the personalized service and ambience of this hotel is enough to get me to return.
