Tranquillity in the mid of the ambient and freshness, naturally scented with colours. Soft spoken staff with ever smiling, ready to serve. Flower bed and hospitality par excellence.

Hotel was pretty good, cleanliness was fantastic and courtesy and hospitality was superb. During first day some conflict arose due to booking issue but later it was sorted out. Overall, experience was good, other then initial booking conflict.

We had a very nice time at Ananda Nilaya, it was a home away from home. The host was so nice that as vegetarians we could get what we wanted for breakfast and dinner, be it chapathis/parothas/rice items or rasam and sambar varieties. Our stay was simply great. Only regret was getting morning newspapers needed to wait upto 9 am or a walk of 2 kms after 7 am.

One of the good homestay places in Madikeri. The location is good and away from bustle of town. Good hosts, neat room, good breakfast are all included in package.

The property was very good. Arrangement for dinner facility will greatly help first time or short time travellers to Coorg. Expecting guests to clean up dishes is not reasonable and an additional household help can be hired. The bedding/quilts had a damp smell and gas geyser did not work.

Ananda Nilaya is a beautiful homestay close bang in the city center. Positives include location, gorgeous garden, room size, cleanliness, kitchenette, books, good breakfast and a genuinely warm host. Negatives - No availability of lunch and dinner (even at extra cost), Daily cleaning of the room not done, lack of toiletries, common television. Except for lunch/dinner arrangement, I believe every other services could be pretty easily managed by the homestay, and lack of these small considerations pinched at times. Also specific taxi arrangement was recommended by owner, but I believe thatÂ’s standard practise across all homestays.
