A - 1 Hotel Siddhartha Palace Reviews, Ahmedabad

Good hotel but a little old...dedicated service. Value for money. Recommended.

It was a pleasant stay. Although construction is old but rooms are spacious, well maintained and clean. staff is courtious and coperative. Location is good, near airport and easy approachibility to anywhere in the city. only problem was the high cost and less quantity of the items on breakfast menu served in the hotel.

There is no lift. Stairs are very narrow. Room phone was having lot of noise.

Looks like Heritage property.

Its a 3rd class hotel. Even we have not checked in the hotel.

An average place. Sad part was that the room allotted was not cleaned and done up despite a call given to them two hours before arrival. They were helpful on arrival to pick up your baggage but while departing no help was there. One has to lug your own baggage to the car. The management could look into this aspect.

Located at calm and quiet environment. Courteous and Well Groomed Staff. Got an upgrade at nominal extra charges. Old pattern but well kept rooms. Real Value for Money

Room quality was mediocre. Food prices were exorbitant. Imagine tea for INR 30. Not practical. Room had wood as walls. Not acceptable.

I opted for a Super Deluxe Room. I was surprised to see that the Room was not located in the main building (it is not a Palace at all by the way). We were taken to a separate very filthy Wing in same compound which could not even compete a budget class Guest House. Room was spacious however the Furniture was in very bad shape, Bathroom was dingy. After reporting the surprise, we were asked to pay Rs. 700 more to upgrade to a Palace Room. In order to have atleast a good night sleep we opted for this and checked in the palace Room which was priced at almost a 3* Hotel. This Room was also spacious and better than the Super Deluxe Room. However it also lacked the taste of being heritage or even a decent 3* Hotel. Bathroom did not have customised Toiletries, no Minibar, not even a decent TV. Worst of all our room was just close to Reception. We were disturbed by the noise of the staff the entire night.

I was attracted by the hotel footage on the web but it was not value for money. I had made a mistake. So now I believe never judge a book by its cover.
