Hotel Nahar Nilgiris looks like a massive bungalow from outside. Inside the hotel, the interiors create a quaintness of an old hill station house. The semi wooden walls in the lobby are complimented with plush leather sofa units and a rich wooden reception. The travel desk is all cane and wood and the walls are adorned with antique lamps, huge iron chandeliers, a huge fireplace and bone china vases. There is an elevator in the lobby as well.

Rooms
The hotel is divided into several blocks and has a total of 86 rooms. The Club Class Suite is well designed and very pretty with a separate living room. The living room has carpeted floor, a long sofa and a satellite television. Though compact, the amenities in the bedroom is well placed with a carpeted floor, sofas in the sitting area, wooden dining table for two, LCD television on wall, tea & coffee maker, dressing table, luggage rack, weighing scale, umbrella and cupboard. There is a small balcony attached to this room and offers a bird's eye view of the Ooty town. The washroom is clean and has a bathtub with continuous hot and cold water supply and amenities like soap, shampoo, moisturiser and towels. The Club Class Double room is a compact room, only a little smaller than the Club Class Suite in size. The facilities, amenities and decor are similar to the Club Class Suite. The Deluxe Suite room is a single room located in a separate block. The luggage rack, cupboard and dressing table are located at the entrance, while a half wall separates the bedroom area from here. There is a seating area as well as a dining table for two people here. An LCD television adorns the wall and completes this simple look. The bathroom has a bathtub with continuous hot and cold water supply and amenities like soap, shampoo, moisturiser and towels. The Deluxe Double room is a moderate looking room with the same amenities as the Deluxe Suite room minus the seating cum dining area. the bathroom here has a shower area with hot and cold water supply and amenities like soap, shampoo, moisturiser and towels.

Dining
The hotel has two restaurants: Chandan is their vegetarian multi cuisine restaurant with a seating capacity of 90 people open for lunch and dinner only. The restaurant is divided into small clusters of tables and chairs for 4 people, which can be rearranged to accommodate larger guests. The Garden Cafe is lawn side coffee shop and snack bar and also the breakfast venue. The Side Walk Cafe is the hotel's Italian specialty restaurant.

Facilities
The hotel has its own travel desk and runs its own travel services known as Nahar Travels. In addition to this, the hotel boasts of The Senate convention centre and The Summit hall for conferences and banquets.
