Location
Hotel Sinclairs is located 110 kilometres away from the Coimbatore Airport, 8 kilometres away from the Ooty (formerly Udhagamandalam) Railway Station and 5 kilometres away from the bus stand in Ooty. Hotel Sinclairs is located on the outskirts of Ooty, approximately 8 kilometres away from the town centre and main market areas.

Hotel Sinclairs was started in 1992 and is an interesting building perched in a quiet corner of Ooty. It has a beautiful view of the hills and greenery. An interesting feature of the hotel is that the lobby is located on the top most floor which is right at the entrance of the hotel and the rooms are all on lower floors as the hotel seems to have been built downwards instead of upwards. This is the highest hotel in South India!

Lobby
The lobby plays instrumental music and ample natural light floods in through the windows. The entire corridor which leads to the lobby and reception has glass walls on one side and this allows the guests to view a beautiful scenery; A treat for the eyes! The lobby has red wall to wall carpeting atop which sits a wooden and glass reception table. At the borders of the lobby are three seating spaces with checked green sofas and wooden glass top tables. The entire space is dotted with lush plants. This area has an old world charm to it. The lobby has a separate ladies and gents washroom attached.

Rooms
A total of a whopping 88 rooms are divided into 84 Standard rooms and 4 Suites. The Standard rooms have twin bed categories as well. The facilities common to all the rooms are cable television, direct dial STD/ISD telephones, centrally heated rooms, 24 hours hot & cold running water, 24 hours room service and basic toiletries in the washrooms along with shower caps. All the rooms in the hotel are carpeted. Some of the rooms are interconnected if families ever require any. The Suites are larger spaces with a flat television, complimentary fruit basket, cookies, mineral water and drinks on arrival. It has a separate space for the dining and living room and for the bedroom.

Services & Facilities
Other services offered by Hotel Sinclairs include The Shop which is a gift shop that sells confectionaries, oils, teas, handbags and various other gift items. It is open from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm. Onwards, there is a travel desk, car parking facility, car rental, laundry, doctor on call and acceptance of credit cards.

Dining
The dining facilities include High Point Bar which is open from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. It only serves Indian alcohol and multi cuisine appetizers. Pines & Petals is the multi cuisine restaurant which offers a breakfast buffet from 7:00 am to 10:30 am, lunch a la carte from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm and a dinner buffet from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm. It is a bright and cheery space filled with fresh aromas of delicious food.

Banquets & Conferences
The business facilities include The Regal Room which can accommodate a total of 200 guests. It has a folding screen along the length of a wall to screen projections on. This fully carpeted space is populated with red chairs. There is also the Summit Hall which can accommodate 15 persons and the Windsor Hall which can accommodate 30 persons. All audio visual equipment and microphones can be availed at an extra charge.
