This hotel was built as a tribute to John Sullivan, the founder of the picturesque town of Ooty. Hotel Sullivan Court is set on gentle slopes, amidst lush green lawns and landscaped gardens. Here, you can relive a bygone era, amidst all modern comforts.

Lobby
The lobby is a large tastefully furnished space with attention to detail. The reception is on the left of the entrance with a wood table and a white marble top. On the right of the entrance is the same table which acts as the travel desk. Directly in front of the entrance is a large round marble table with a vase atop it, in which sits pretty, a larger than life flower arrangement. In front of this, is a square seating space with a large square centre table on a carpet. It is furnished with printed sofas and high rise wooden tables with tiled table tops. Behind the seating space is a glass elevator which allows for easy connection to all the floors. There is another area on either side of the main seating space in the lobby, which has two armchairs side by side and a mirror mounted on the wall in the imitation of a black sun. The lobby has a very high ceiling and when you look up; you see imitations of small balconies with doors. This area has a lot of detail and is an elegant welcoming space.

Rooms
Hotel Sullivan Court has a total of 67 rooms, of which there are 23 Standard rooms which are the lowest category, 12 Deluxe rooms, 22 Fortune Club rooms and 4 Suites which are the highest category. All the rooms in the hotel have wooden flooring which gives a warm and cosy feeling to the interiors. The facilities common to all the rooms are cable television, refrigerator, DVD player, direct dial STD/ISD telephones, central heating, wireless internet connections at an extra charge for which you can get a coupon from the reception, 24 hours room service and 24 hours hot & cold running water. The washrooms have luxurious toiletries like soaps, shampoos, moisturizers, dental kits, shaving kits, shower caps and exfoliates. All the washrooms have bathtubs except for the Standard rooms washrooms. The Deluxe rooms have an added tea/coffee maker as well as a tub in the washroom. The Fortune Club Rooms have all of the above and an added feature of a dressing room and hair dryer in the washroom. The Suite which is the highest category has all this, including a dining table, seating area, exercycle, safety deposit locker, living room, bar counter, weighing scale, 2 televisions and 2 DVD players. The rooms are tastefully done with smart wooden furniture and attention to detail.

Services & Facilities
Added services offered by the hotel are a business centre where there are computers which guests can use and access the internet at a charge, billiards rooms which is open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm and is chargeable at 100 Rupees per game, cards room which is also open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, in house laundry, home theatre, indoor games, children's play area, table tennis, video games room which is open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, health club with sauna, steam and massage & state of the art gymnasium which are open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, of which only the gymnasium is free for in house guests, doctor on call, laundry, travel desk, parking space, car rental and acceptance of credit cards.

Dining
The dining facilities at Hotel Sullivan Court are Selbourne's Bar which is open from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm and is a multi cuisine bar which serves a choice of appetizers and alcoholic beverages. It can accommodate a total of 32 persons and is accessible from the lobby. It is furnished with a lot of antique looking wooden furniture and has a royal British charm to it. There is Khyber Restaurant which is an outdoor area beside a lawn and offers multi cuisine fare. It is open only for dinner from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Finally, Pavilion is the top notch multi cuisine restaurant which can accommodate 64 persons. It is open for breakfast (7:30 am to 10:30 am), lunch (12:30 pm to 2:30 pm) and dinner (7:30 pm to 10:45 pm). A buffet is only laid out when the occupancy in the hotel is high. This area is quaint and the food here is the best in Ooty. There is also a pastry shop with has some delicious breads, cookies and pastries.

Banquets & Conferences
The conferencing facilities include which is a fully carpeted space and can accommodate 140 persons. It has green cushioned chairs and a projector screen on either side of the hall. Attached is a pre function area with tiled flooring and wooden stairs leading to a smaller banquet area. Ettnes is another carpeted conference hall which can accommodate a total of 50 people and also has a wooden flooring area on the side for a buffet. This hall is sometimes used as a home theatre where movies are screened for guests on request and at no extra charge. All audio visual equipment only, is supplied at an extra charge.

Hotel Sullivan Court is a delightful place and is a favourite amongst foreigners. It is a 3 star hotel with great 4 star facilities and an extremely courteous staff.
