The Sarai Hotel Description

The Sarai is a plush white boutique hotel, which pays special attention to the safety of corporate women travelers who travel alone. This hotel offers a charming environment that guests would appreciate. Apart from this, it also accommodates the needs of other business travelers as well. Sarai basically means a palace or a seraglio or an inn built around a large courtyard for accommodating caravans and this is the soothing feel the hotel offers; an urban oasis.

Lobby
The hotel is a huge striking structure with an aura of peace and quiet. You enter this heavenly space through a gate made of light coloured wooden planks and are welcomed with a huge rectangular courtyard sunning itself under the open skies and a white marbled flooring space enjoying the shade. On the right side of the entrance is a posh reception with a low rise sofa arrangement and cream coloured cushions adorning its clear cut frame. The wooden centre table is as low as the seating arrangement on which rests an opaque glass top. The reception counter has a black marble top with a false wall behind it. This false space holds various sculptures and artifacts that add to the charisma of the area. A full length mirror with wooden edges adds to the space here.

The courtyard in the hotel is an arresting feature which stands out the moment you set your sight on it. It is basically a single corridor that overlooks a tastefully done Mediterranean courtyard and is a large space with a bed of white irregular shaped stones spread out across the length. It is interspersed with potted plants and flowers of all shapes and types in elegant white stone pots, cushioned wrought iron tables and chairs, wrought iron benches and a swing with a green canopy for shelter from the sun. This area offers a feeling of complete solitude and tranquility. The first floor of the hotel has a rectangular balcony that runs all around the courtyard and overlooks it. From the reception you can spot an elaborate and interesting sun shaped wrought iron mirror on the first floor landing. Piped music plays in the courtyard every evening - heavenly.

The floors are connected with a white marble staircase and a sky blue banister. This blue banister continues its presence on the first floor as a fencing.

Rooms
The Sarai offers 35 elegantly decorated rooms in an intimate two floor setting, with double and queen sized beds. These 35 rooms are Executive Rooms and are all of the same size with cosy, warm interiors. The rooms are done up in light shades of white and beige with a rug along the length of the bed. One wall in each room is peach coloured with two lamp fixtures mounted midway. Each room also has a square depression which acts as a mantle space; made of marble and with the sides peach in colour, it screams elegance and chic. Each room is presented with complimentary mineral water for the guests. The facilities offered within the rooms are cable television, direct dial (STD/ISD) telephones, 24 hours running hot and cold water, 24 hours room service and Wi - Fi connectivity. The attached washrooms all have demarcated shower spaces and 'Biotique' toiletries.

The hotel offers guest transportation on request for pick up and drop to the airport and for daily use as well, wireless internet access across the hotel - free of cost, complimentary business services at the front desk which include fax, couriers and photocopying, 24 hours power back up and same day laundry, ironing and shoe shine.

Dining
The Sarai Cafe is a multi cuisine rooftop restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It offers Indian and Continental menus along with special 'Ghar Ka Khana' (homemade style fare) including tawa rotis. Sit down dinners are available for up to 36 guests with space for coffee and buffet meals. Breakfast is served from 7:00 am to 11:00 am, lunch from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm and dinner from 6:30 pm to 12:30 am. The restaurant boasts of white marble flooring, cream coloured blinds at the windows and iron chairs with red cushions. It is an air conditioned restaurant and has an attached outdoor rooftop that can be used for parties and small gatherings. The hotel buys a liquor license for a particular day when required by the guests or for a party.

Conferences & Banquets
The conference facility includes a meeting space for 35 - 40 guests with a space for coffee and buffet meals. Flip charts, overhead projectors and other meeting amenities are available on request.
