The Shamrock Resort Hotel Description

A bunch of cozy cottages on surrounded by the tea gardens of Munnar, the Shamrock Resort offers comfortable accommodation, a home away from home. With a small reception cum lobby and a small room, every cottage is independent ensuring privacy to all the guests.

Rooms
The resort has a total of 8 rooms divided into 4 Super Deluxe and 4 Deluxe rooms. The Deluxe room is a huge room, well maintained with a clean look. With a stone wall in one part of the room, the amenities include a satellite television, telephone, glass paned cupboard, luggage rack, two sofa chairs, a double bed, mirror, drinking water and tea coffee maker. A common verandah for all the Deluxe rooms provide a panoramic view of the open valley. The Super Deluxe room has a separate living and bedroom and is much bigger than the Deluxe rooms. The living room has a separate drawing area with sofa chairs, a study table and a lamp. The bedroom is big with a huge double bed, glass cupboard, bedside table, satellite television, luggage rack, mirror and a small dressing table. This room has an adjoining balcony facing the beautiful valley. The wall dividing the balcony from the room is done in complete glass, so much so that when you draw the curtains, the beaming sunlight filters through or the floating clouds smile past you. The bathroom here is clean with a shower area and amenities like soap, shampoo, moisturizer, linen and running hot and cold water.

Dining
A separate cottage just next to the reception counter building is the Hot Spot restaurant of the resort, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This place has low ceiling with pictures of various species of birds and animals of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The seating arrangement of 12 persons is done in a neat and organized set up. At the rear of the room lies the buffet counter with a clay oven and clay utensils! Truly a rarity.

The Shamrock resort is located in Munnar about 115 kilometres from the Cochin airport, 115 kilometres from the Aluva railway station and 4 kilomtres each from the Munnar town and bus stop.
