Stayed for 2 nights (28th and 29th April 2009) with family. Hotel is located high on mountain slope and is surely one of the best locations in Munnar. But the approach road is scary and narrow for two way traffic at the same time. Have a skilled driver. Don't even think of getting out of the hotel in the car after sunset.(Perhaps in Munnar one does not do that). No restaurant near by except the one in the hotel. Food in hotel restaurant is of good quality. Just order what you want to eat half an hour in advance. Complimentary buffet breakfast is good. Unadulterated fresh fruit juice in buffet b/fast is one of the best I have ever tasted. Extra bed at a charge provided was on wooden folding type sofa and was painful to sleep. Got it changed to regular mattress next day. Staff was polite, attentive and courteous. I liked the hotel except for the approach road and a high cost (same rate for on season and offseason it seems).

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, helpful with all special meal requests and arranging cab services for us during our stay. The restaurant served lovely Indian and Continental food that was very well priced. They also offered to pack breakfast of fruit and sandwiches for us to take on our day of check-out due to our early departure time. The room was very large, with a spacious private balcony overlooking the tea plantation offering spectacular views. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a weekend retreat at a remote resort a few kilometres from Munnar town.
