T & U Leisure Hotel Hotel Description

The T & U Leisure Hotel might strike as an unusual name to you, but if you sit and repeat the name, you will get an insight of its actual meaning. The hotel's motto is to arrange for a rendezvous of different people and get to know each other better! The ambience presented by the hotel is very cheerful and you may want to come back here again and again. The reception cum lobby is an open space and you can see the souvenir shop, restaurant, pool table and internet cafe from here.

Rooms
The hotel has a total of 30 rooms divided into 10 Standard rooms, 15 Deluxe rooms, 4 Suites and 1 Honeymoon Suite Cottage. The Honeymoon suite is a cozy place, segregated from the rest of the blocks, and connected with a hanging bridge! The living and bedroom of the suite wears a traditional look with Kerala cane furniture all over. The living room has a sofa unit and a centre table and a phone. In the half wall partition between the living and bedroom lies the dining table for 4 people, adjacent to which, is the bedroom with amenities like satellite television, luggage rack, dressing table, cupboard etc. The bathroom is good, clean and quite cozy with a bath tub, running hot and cold water supply and amenities like soap, shampoo etc. The regular Suites have a combined drawing and dining facilities in a long rectangle room, the only other decor being a lamp and a cabinet, further leading to the balcony. The bedroom is again cozy and same as the bedroom of the Honeymoon Suite. The bathroom does not have a tub, but has the same amenities as the Honeymoon Suite. The Standard room is quite big with terracotta floor, mirror on wall, study table, 2 sofa chairs, satellite television, huge sprawling bed, a balcony and a luggage rack and cupboard upon entrance. The bathroom is compact with a shower area and basic amenities like soap and shampoo. The Deluxe room is exactly the same as the Standard room except for its size and some additional amenities like tea coffee maker, a bigger and better luggage rack and the excellent view of the tea gardens and town. However, these rooms do not have balconies. The bathroom is the same as the Standard rooms with a shower area, shampoo, moisturizer, soap, linen etc.

Dining
The Top Station Restaurant is a huge room with glass all around and the backdrop of the rugged mountains in the distance. This multi cuisine restaurant can accommodate around 80 persons and is open for breakfast (7:30 am -10:00 am), lunch (12:30 pm - 5:30 pm) and dinner (7:30 am -10:00 am). The restaurant serves buffet lunch and a la carte menu as well. There is a coffee shop cum convenience store here as well, which stocks all kinds of soft drinks, mineral water, chips, cells etc.

Facilities
The facilities provided in the hotel are many- an activity centre on the top of the lobby level houses some gym machines, table tennis, carom etc for the guests to spend their time. On the lobby level lies a pool table, an internet centre, and a souvenir shop. Besides this, the hotel provides laundry service, housekeeping service, doctor on call, travel assistance, internet at extra charge, a well maintained lawn etc. There is a Conference hall here as well with a seating capacity of 150 persons in theatre style. A well organized set of secretarial services like phone, internet, LCD screen, projector etc are provided here as well.

The hotel is located in Munnar about 150 kilometres away from the Cochin airport, 130 kilometres away from the Ernakulam railway station and just a kilometer away from the Munnar town and bus stop. Some tourist attractions like Amttupaddy Dam, Echo Point, Kundaly Dam and Top Station View Point are within 10 kilometres away from the hotel.
