I visited Munnar from 15th to 18th August 2009. Munnar as a tourist spot is definitely one of the most untouched (not exploited) hill stations I have ever visited. One can imagine that there is a wildlife sanctuary which is said to be the Indias cleanest wildlife sanctuary. The beauty of nature and the tranquility found here is unmatched. I was further lucky that the accommodation I got was definitely one of the best available in this region. I stayed at Holiday Heaven which is located about 20 kms from the main town of Munnar. Being a bit away from the main city, it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city crowd. Moreover Holiday Heaven offers villa type of accommodation facility. The villas are piece of an artistic creation with a lot of emphasis being given to the minutest details. This would be an ideal place for peace-lovers in the lap of nature. The scenic beauty around the villas is unmatched and since it is located at an appreciable height, you can feel mists swirling around you and even entering your room. It's a highly recommended place to stay for nature-lovers and people going for their holidays to relax and enjoy the natural beauty. Being away from the usual crowded hotels, Holiday Heaven encompasses just around 9 villas in a big plot of land which gives enough privacy to the occupants of each. Though placed at some distance from the reception, this does not let the guest compromise with the room service. The staff is cordial, and helpful and in various finer aspects much better than many acclaimed names in the industry. I would highly recommend the place to any visitor who would like to de-stress in the midst of nature, and enjoy a lovely holiday. So if you are planning a trip to magical Munnar...indulge yourself and your loved ones. Trust me, you will have a heavenly holiday...
