Forest Haven Resort Hotel Description

Engulfed in the tropical forests of Kerala, the Forest Haven Resort is a quiet private place, with a stream flowing within 300 metres distance. The brick red building of the resort is a pleasant welcome in the forest area. The reception is located in the centre of a big hall with the lobby just next to it. A spiraling staircase takes you to the floors above where most of the rooms are housed.

Rooms
The resort has 24 rooms in all divided into 20 Double Deluxe rooms and 4 Suite rooms. The Suite is like a 2 roomed apartment, with a small living room and a moderate sized bedroom. The walls have a brick like effect and the cane furniture blends perfectly with the room decor. The living room has a cane sofa unit and a divan, while the bedroom has a small cupboard, mirror on wall, satellite television, telephone, study table and luggage rack. A small private balcony opens to the dense forest beyond. The sound of crickets and birds filter into the room when the door is open, while the fresh breeze kisses your skin with utmost delicacy. The bathroom has a shower cubicle with basic amenities like soap, shampoo, lines etc. Two of the Suites have double balconies, while one Suite has got plush leather sofa instead of the cane ones. The Deluxe room wears the same look as the Suite only smaller in size and compact. The room has one double bed, a writing desk, satellite television, cupboard with a mirror on it, luggage rack and an attached balcony. The bathroom is small with the same facilities as the Suites. However, there are 3 Deluxe rooms on the ground floor, which do not have a balcony.

Dining
Orchid is the multi cuisine restaurant of the hotel with a seating capacity of 24 persons. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The decor inside the restaurant matches the rooms and the glass windows provide a clean view of the forest beyond while you enjoy your meals.

Facilities
There is a conference hall in the hotel, which is also used as the indoor activity centre with games like table tennis, chess, carom and even a few work out machines placed in order. Whenever the hall is booked for conferences, it is cleared and necessary arrangements are made. They also outsource secretarial services as and when the need arises. Besides this, the resort has a travel desk managed by the front office, a natural swimming pool - a creek like place crafted by nature, children's park, car parking area etc. The resort also organises for bonfire on request and pitches tents for night sty during season time. They also organize jeep safaris and jungle treks during season time.

Don't Miss
The view from all the rooms - it is refreshing and available only here. Another must see here is a beautiful stream flowing by just a few metres away from the resort. If you wish to, you can also walk upto it for a swim or fishing!

The Forest Haven Resort is located 135 kilometres away from Cochin airport, 120 kilometres away from Aluva railway station (7 kms from Cochin). The Munnar town is 14 kilometres away from here, while the nearest bus stop is at Kallar about 1.5 kilometres away.
