Airlink Hotel Description

Imagine trying to find a needle in a haystack. This is quite the case with Airlink hotel. There are hotels surrounding it from all sides and this is one of the last hotels that one may find in the locality. The building is huge and horizontally placed along the road. About 22 years old, the hotel bears a distinct touch of erstwhile Mumbai. The reception is small, but cozy and loud at the same time. An aquarium adds to the charm. There is a single sofa set on the left with the General Manager's office right next to it. Beyond it is the restaurant cum bar.

Rooms
There are 22 rooms in total divided into Double rooms and Suite rooms. The Double rooms are big spacious rooms with a double or twin bed, tiled walls, colourful sofas (loud rather), dressing table air conditioner, marble flooring, phone etc. This room is like any regular room. The bathroom is simple too with white tiled floors and walls and a shower cubicle. The bathroom amenities provided here are very bare. The Suite room is actually a big room (maybe the size of 3 Double rooms together), which is beautiful. The stone walls are done in pristine white and have a comfortable feeling to it. This room has a master bed in front of a huge sunny window drawn with wooden blinds, a dining table on its opposite side with a sofa set and a table, a love couch, television, refrigerator and two air conditioners. The separation in the room is done by stone pillars which also gives a classy look to it.

Dining
The Happy Hours restaurant is the hotel's only restro bar with white walls, low lying bulbs and colourful sofas with a seating capacity of 36 persons. The interior decor is done with lots of figurines placed at different corners of the restaurant.

The hotel is strategically located close to the Bandra-Kurla and Andheri business districts with easy access towards the main city. The hotel is a stone's throw away from the domestic airport and a 10 minute drive away from the international airport.

The domestic airport is 25 kms from the city center. Taxis and auto rickshaws are readily available outside the terminal building. A free shuttle service to the international airport also operates from here.

Mumbai Central Railway Station (24 Km)

Mumbai Central serves as the southernmost terminus in Mumbai for Western Railway outstation trains, as well as suburban lines. Trains depart from here to Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab and Delhi, including the Rajdhani trains to Delhi.

Gateway Of India (30 Km)

Built to honour the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India in 1911, the Gateway has a grand arch in the Indo-Saracenic style with Gujarati and Islamic wooden carvings. It is also the departing point for ferries plying to Elephanta Island.

Juhu Beach (8 Km)

This beach located along Juhu Road is famous for the Chowpatty, a heavenly corner for food junkies. A favourite with children and adults alike, it has an amusement park, play ground and an open air restaurant. Camel rides further add to the charm.
