Valley View Inn Hotel Description

Valley View Inn is a 3 star category property, which is 10 years old. This place is an ambient and courteous host and is a cosy and comfortable break from your daily routine.

On entering the hotel, the reception and lobby has marble flooring with a gold centerpiece in the middle. The seating area has comfortable red sofas and a glass top centre table. There is a guest relations and information table as well. Connected to the lobby is a small gift shop with artifacts and stuffed toys.

Valley View Inn has a total of 39 rooms where all the rooms are Double Deluxe and are fully carpeted with red carpets. They also have a special Double Deluxe room for a honeymoon couple with flower petals scattered across the room on the bed and the carpet. The smell in the room is beautiful with all the flower petals. Each room has a small seating area. Some of the rooms have a beautiful view of the valley below. All the rooms have a cable television, a jug of water, local and STD direct calling and running hot and cold water.

Some of the other hotel facilities available are a rent a car facility, money exchange counter, wide parking spaces, doctor on call, laundry pickup service, fax, internet browsing and email service. There is also a regular bus tour operational from Kodaikanal to Chennai, Bangalore, Ooty and Madurai.

The hotel also has a dining area called the Dawat restaurant, which is a multi cuisine restaurant open from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Room service is available during the same timings as the restaurant. Breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, lunch from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm and dinner from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. No alcohol is served unless a group requires it.

There is also a small hall on the lobby level which accommodates 3040 people and a basement hall which can accommodate 100 people. The hotel has a temple next to it as well as a youth hostel and a pool parlour.

Kindly note that the hotel is scheduled for renovations in early 2007.

Location - Valley View Inn is centrally located only a few minutes walk from the Kodai Lake and town centre. The nearest railway station is Kodai Road, which is 80 kilometres away. The nearest airports are at Madurai at 120 kilometres, Coimbatore at 176 kilometres and Trichy at 197 kilometres. The Kodaikanal bus station is just one kilometre away from the hotel.
