For the price it was good. Food was a problem. It was not available in-house as their cook had resigned, so we had to go out. Another thing is that you cannot stay there without your own transportation as it is quite away from the lake area with nothing available nearby.

The name as it suggests-Kodai Home stay is akin to a homely acomodation. The location is quite picturesque and nacent, with good hospitality shown by the owners of the property. The property is new and well maintained with quite a good taste for the interiors. The lawns & exteriors give a beautiful feeling and a longing for staying back for a couple of more days. The property has a new children's park comming up which would give a further boost to the stay and better rating from the kids accompanying. The property deserves a good rating. The owners further intend to develop their own kitchen which is presently supplemented from outside, quality of food was really good & tasty. Overall, the stay was more homely and would like to visit & stay at the same property again. Though I have a life membership with the Sterling resorts & they have their proerty in Kodai as well, I would prefer to stay at Kodai Home Stay.

This one is actually a real home stay, having been built at the basement of someone's house. The basement in a hill slope is, of course, a floor on its own, below the road, with a quite nice garden and view all around. The place itself is slightly out of the town, about 3 km from the central areas of Kodai, but very near the exit route for a bunch of sight-seeing places. Beware of food. There is no room service for food or a restaurant within walking distance. We had our first dinner and breakfast at a nearby place called Danny's restaurant... which is nothing but a canteen serving a 'fixed' meal of very mediocre quality. Any pampering of palate would mean a travel of atleast 3 km to the main 'town'. Facilities are other wise quite up to expectation and neat and clean. The services are quite prompt and there are no attempts to charge you for very small items like extra blankets. Note however, that the room sizes are not all the same for the same cost.
