The nine-year-old Hotel Sivapriya, with an elongated three-floor building, stands out in stark contrast to its surroundings. The reception is in a big hall that has a gift shop at one end and a huge lobby area at the other end. The hotel has an ethnic decor with a multi layered lamp centrepiece and a Ganesha idol at the entrance and large posters of temples that adorn the walls behind the reception counter. The lobby comprises maroon coloured comfortable sofas in a long seating arrangement and a flat screen television that keeps guests entertained while they wait. For the convenience of its guests, the hotel also has an elevator.

The 51 Deluxe Rooms at the hotel are well furnished and well appointed with all modern amenities including a television, direct dial telephone, study table, sofa and all bathroom amenities. While 48 rooms have western style toilets, 3 rooms have been provided with an Indian style toilet, keeping in mind the preferences of some guests. During off-season, running hot water is provided in bathrooms from 6 am to 10 am and from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm while during season, it is provided 24 hours a day. The hotel has avoided categorising rooms so as to provide a consistent and equal level of service to all guests.

Dining facilities include Sivaruchi, a vegetarian multi cuisine restaurant that can seat 100 guests at a time. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7:30 am to 10 pm. While snacks are served in the restaurant from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, room service is also available for meals and snacks only, although tea/coffee can be served at any time.

Other facilities available at the hotel include a mini conference hall, a car rental service, currency exchange counter, gift shop, spacious parking, laundry cum dry cleaning service and complimentary pick and drop facility till the bus stand.

Located on Convent Road, the hotel lies just 1 kilometre away from the Kodai Lake and 1.5 kilometres from the bus stand. It provides easy access to all centres of tourist interest.
