Vista Do Rio Hotel Description

Snaking its way from the main highway, Vista Do Rio lies in middle Goa. A single path takes you into the interiors where Vista Do Rio is ensconced on sprawling grounds. But the soul of Goa throbs there as it gears up for fun, takes care to provide a good deal of rest, comfort and also throws challenges to those who like them. It is pretty simplistic in its outlook. A bench serves as the reception with a small sitting area in the corner. A door at the back of the reception takes one to the gardens beyond. With the popular Goan combination of white buildings and green gardens and the blue pool, it makes a pretty sight. A walk through the garden brings one to the swimming pool, which is a huge circular shaped beauty. There is a pool bar at one corner. At the garden's circumference lies all the rooms and the health club. This hotel enjoys the RCI property membership. Serving the Goan coccum drink is refreshing to every guest and is especially endearing to Indians with its set up keeping tradition and culture in mind.

Rooms
There are 41 room; divided into standard rooms, deluxe and suites. The standard rooms are 15 in number with double beds, a television, apt furniture as table and chairs, cupboard etc. A shower cap, soap and toilet paper are given by the hotel. It has an apartment look in the way the rooms are placed in different buildings. The deluxe rooms follow next, with the same amenities. Huge sofas look inviting to rest upon with the television remote next to it. A cane cupboard decorates the room. Wi-fi connection is present with a little extra charged on usage. There is a seating arrangement making space for a comfortable stay. The suites are the best. They can be divided further into Premium rooms and those for families. They have two bedrooms and two balconies. They give one a sense of a villa. They enjoy the presence of a balcony with the lawn side view. The master bed lies in the main bedroom, with twin beds in the other. There is another space for sitting. Adequate basic furniture gives a sense of space and comfort in the rooms. The sofas are sofa cum bed and can have a family or group of six without any vying for much required space. There are four rooms, two standard and two deluxe with a bathtub as a premium.

Dining
The concept restaurant designed as a boat ship catches one's fantasy for sure. The restaurant - It Sunny Deck, offers you cuisines viz. Oriental, Continental, Goan, Gujarati and Jain. Also, you could simply chill out with exotic cocktails and drinks at the Pirates Haunt, the bar.

Facilities
If one is in need of fresh air, the lawn outside is a lovely place to stroll through. The health club has the renowned South Indian massages of different variations. The decor is also very traditional with the diyas lighted on a slim, tall stand. Contrastingly, if one wants to explore indoors, the concept room in the main building with the reception, which indeed is a restaurant, is a major headway. For the imaginative, it could serve well to think of oneself on a cruise. The fresh breeze from the lawns, the lines across the room as that of a ship and the masts and flags is easy to tingle one's sense of adventure. Climbing down the stairs from the restaurant, one reaches the games room with board games. The main building also houses the conference hall, which can have 80 people at a go comfortably. Transportation facilities are also provided. A tempo, a Qualis are their birds to go to and fro. They also make arrangements for buses or other transport with ease.

Vista do Rio is off the Panji road at Porvorim, with the Mandovi Bridge and the heart of the city just a couple of kilometres away and Mandovi proper, within oar's reach. 20 kilometres from Panjim, 15 kilometres from Karmali, 37 kilometres from the airport, eight kilometres from Miramar and 10 Kilometres from Calangute makes it ideal for its Indian guests to have their business conferences mixed with a holiday package. Also, the tourist buses halt at Mapusa, which is 15 kilometres away and they also stop at Panjim.

Margaon Railway Station (42 Km)

One of the two main railway stations in Goa, Margaon is in the southern area of the state and services the Konkan Railway line, which has trains plying from Mumbai and other destinations including Delhi.

Dona Paula (10 Km)

Steeped in myth and romance, the beach is named after Dona Paula De Menezes, the erstwhile Viceroy’s daughter. This is where the Zuari and Mandovi estuaries meet the sea. The Dona Paula beach houses the National Oceanography Institute.

Panjim CIty (8 Km)

Visitors usually give Panjim a miss from their itineraries, not aware of its quaint old district. Fontainhas still retains a Portuguese air with colourful houses and old churches. Clean and not congested, the city is unlike any other.

Calangute Beach (8 Km)

Located in North Goa, it s one of the most popular beaches, and thousands throng to it every year. It has some of the best shacks to eat and drink at – like Tito s, Mambo s, and the ever delightful Souza Lobo s. Fort Aguada is also visible at one end.

Thivim Railway Station (29 Km)

This is one of the closest railways stations to Calangute beach. It has a very old feel to it, and dates back Portuguese colonial times. It is a very small station, and one feels very quaint disembarking here.
