Varca le Palms Beach Resort Hotel Description

A long driveway leads you to the Varca Le Palms Beach Resort, part of the Usha Sriram Group of hotels. It houses 16 Superior rooms, 10 Pool Villas and 30 Garden Villas and four Pool Villa Suites spread across 14 acres of lush lawns and sandy shores.

Resembling a Portuguese villa from the outside, the lobby area has natural light streaming in through large bay windows. Can furniture adorn the alcoves where guests can lounge around or read a magazine from the rack near the reception console on the right side. Leading a little away from the lobby is a line of souvenir and handicrafts shops.

Rooms
The staircase going up from the lobby area takes you to the Superior rooms, which are the base category rooms of the hotel. The rooms are individually air conditioned and have a dressing table, a seating area, wardrobe and an attached bathroom with a shower area, hot and cold running water and toiletries like soap, shampoo, moisturizer and talcum powder provided for. In-room facilities include a telephone, television, filtered drinking water and an umbrella for rainy days!

Across the main lawn, a pathway leads you to the Garden Villas at a slight elevation and the Pool Villas at a level below by the poolside. Both rooms come equipped with twin or double beds and like the Superior rooms, have individual air conditioners, a dressing table, a seating area, wardrobe and an attached bathroom. The in-room amenities offered are more comprehensive and include a minibar and tea/coffee maker. The Pool Suites have two conjoining rooms with one being a living area and the other being a bedroom.

Facilities
Other guest services and facilities at Varca Le Palms Beach Resort include 24 hour room service, laundry service, safety deposit locker facility at the reception and a travel desk. Recreational facilities include an Ayurveda massage centre, a swimming pool, beach volleyball, water sports, tennis, table tennis and a host if indoor games. During high tourist season, the hotel organises theme evening complete with a live band, karaoke nights, magic shows and more!

The hotel also has conferencing facilities for up to 40 people with state-of-the-art audio and video equipment provided for.

Dining
The Varca Le Palms Beach Resort has five food and beverage outlets for guests to sample. While swimming, guests can swim up to the Splash bar to quench their thirst. Du Jardin is an outdoor cafe where breakfast and dinner is served. It offers a multi cuisine fare including Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisine. Neil's Cabana with its high wooden beamed roof is the beachside shack and bar that can accommodate up to 200 guests. Feni, named after the local cashew drink, is a private dining deck for up to eight people on the beach. Waves with its bright blue exterior and slate roof is a circular bar right on the beach that remains open from 11 am to 6 pm. Along with serving a variety of cocktails, a snack menu is also available. If you prefer not to wine and dine on your sun bed, Waves has a patio like seating with furniture that resembles logs of wood.

On the Varca beach in South Goa, the Varca Le Palms Beach Resort is 10 kms from Margao railway station, 45 minutes away from the airport, an hour away from Panjim city and about 60 kms from Calangute beach.
