Perola Do Mar Hotel Description

Perola Do Mar has its restaurant on the main road with the resort in the back, for which you have to take a side lane. Looking at it, one can call it the sunshine hotel with a single colour spreading like the rays of the sun across. There is an arch with a sitting arrangement on the left and the reception on the right. On entering the arch, the reception is towards the right, a statue of Mother Mary blesses from the front and the rooms and an enticing pool lie on the left. The shimmering waters of the huge pool create a contrast against the orange blocks that house the rooms.

Rooms
Perola Do Mar boasts of 36 air-conditioned rooms of which 14 are Suite rooms and 22 are Standard rooms. The Standard rooms look luxurious with its small-sized carpet, mahogany table and chairs and a sofa that is heavily carved and curved! The phone rests on the refrigerator and the television is held up by a plank. The bedroom has twin beds, a wardrobe, dressing table and a small carpet. The toilet is simple and neat. The Suite rooms are also similarly furnished with the absence of the sofa and equipped with all the amenities as the Standard rooms.

Dining
The hotel has two dining restaurants - one that serves Indian and Continental cuisines and the other on the main road called Haveli, where one can feel the rhythm of live music thrice a week. With a seating capacity of 35 people, its interiors are contrary to what one would expect from its name with a bar, chequered tables and chairs and bright lighting. Accommodating 35 people, Haveli is a sure magnet.

Perola Do Mar is located in Candolim, in north Goa. Easily accessible, it is 500 mts from the Candolim beach, 2 kms from Fort Aguada beach, 4 kms from Calangute beach and 5 kms from Baga beach. It is 17 kms from Panjim city and 35 kms from the airport.

Dabolim Airport (45 Km)

Located 29 kms from Panjim, some airport facilities include currency exchange, a book shop, handicrafts emporium, a duty free shop and facilities for the physically challenged. There is a prepaid taxi stand within and outside the premises.

Margaon Railway Station (45 Km)

One of the two main railway stations in Goa, Margaon is in the southern area of the state and services the Konkan Railway line, which has trains plying from Mumbai and other destinations including Delhi.

Anjuna Beach (18 Km)

Anjuna Beach is one of the most famous beaches of Goa. It is adjacent to the beautiful Chapora Fort, and has a well frequented weekly flea market. This is the only beach where semi-nude sunbathing is allowed. It is surrounded by rocks on either side.

Mapusa City (12 Km)

13 kilometers north of Panaji, Mapusa is the favoured destination for most tourists that visit Goa as it is closest to all the beaches, like Calangute, Anjuna and Baga. However, it also has a vibrant weekly market attended by locals and tourists alike.

Thivim Railway Station (28 Km)

This is one of the closest railways stations to Calangute beach. It has a very old feel to it, and dates back Portuguese colonial times. It is a very small station, and one feels very quaint disembarking here.

Panjim Bus Station (18 Km)

In the center of Panaji, this bus station is the heart of GoaÂ’s circulatory system. Outbound bus travel is easiest from here. Government and private companies offer luxury, air-con and sleeper buses to Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Gokarna and Mangalore.

Baga Beach (8 Km)

An extension of Calangute beach, Baga is where all the action is. Locals and tourists alike do it all here: swim, indulge in watersports, or walk the curvy shore. It also has great shacks, such as Britto s. Anjuna is just past the cliffs to the north.

Margao Bus Station (40 Km)

Margao Bus Station or Kadamba bus stand is 2 km north of the Margao town center, on the road to Panaji. The station operates deluxe buses to Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hubli and Belgaum. Dabolim Airport is 28 km away.
