The Lemon Tree Amarante Resort is located on the beautiful Condolim beach in North Goa. Whilst perusing resorts available we seemed to be making a compromise in most situations whereby the nicer better resorts were set on isolated beaches in South Goa and thereby far from the action. The Lemon Tree provides tourists with the benefit of a luxurious serene resort amidst a lively neighborhood. Although it doesnt flaunt a private beach, the public beach isn't far away (200 meters) and has decent facilities provided by independent shacks. It is an exclusive beach and is not very crowded during the day or night but close to the other more popular beaches. The resort is fairly new (2 years old) and in immaculate condition; the service was exemplary and the staff extremely polite and courteous. The pool was pristine but not deep on any corner and the gardens flaunted by palms are awe-inspiring although small sized. The only drawbacks could be that the boundaries of a neighboring private property may have been too close to our liking considering we had a garden view room with our back-door within 5 meters of the low boundary walls and the room keys were bulky old fashioned. Overall the resort offered a very good value for money and is ideal for any tourist looking for a 4 star property in North Goa.

As soon as you enter the lobby of The Lemontree Amarante beach resort, you are transported to a world of beautiful stained glass windows and lampshades bearing latin letterings on them. The staff are smiling and warm and make you feel welcomed immediately. On the walk upto the room ,we passed the swimming pool and the cool blue waters of the pool attract you immediately and you feel like jumping in to cool off and get rid of the weariness of the travel. The rooms are beautifully and functionally done up and provide a weary traveler with all amenities to freshen up and refresh themselves with tea and coffee maker in the room. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows are fluffy - unlike the rock hard pillows one finds in most hotels. My mother who generally cannot sleep anywhere other than home slept like a baby on all the nights that we were there. We decided to take walk after checking in and discovered the beautiful pathway leading to the Heritage block and out at the back to the beach. The landscaping is serene and calm with swaying palms and well manicured lawns around the pool. The arches and the extensive use of stained glass add a Greco- Roman touch to the hotel. The food is nothing to write home about and I felt is the only drawback to a wonderful experience. The choice is limited and has very few Goan dishes on the menu. The time taken to place the order and finally get the food on the table is almost 30minutes and this can really be irksome. The hotel has fixed menus – which are read out by waiters, instead of being printed and placed on the tables. Even serving items from the fixed menu takes a long time. I would suggest that the hotel serve up a buffet for all three meals – this will give choice to the guests as well as cut down on the time spent in waiting and eating. The overall experience at the hotel was excellent and the staff –even at the coffee shop are great and smiling. If you are planning a trip to Goa try the Lemontree Amarante Beach resort -you are sure to get value for money.

When we planned our trip to Goa we wanted to stay in a place that would be comfortable as well as would fit in our budget. After spending considerable amount of time researching on the internet, we zeroed on Lemon Tree and I can tell you that all that time spent was really worth it. Everything and I mean everything ranging from the warm pool to the TV & DVD player to the complimentary toiletries to the buffet breakfast (included) were just unbelievable for that tariff. It seems that they had thought of everything and one can make out that the entire staff was not leaving any stone unturned to make you feel comfortable. However I have couple suggestions though that would make this place even better. Please provide an iron, an ironing board and a clock in the room. Although we got the supply of towels and tea/sugar sachets every time we called the housekeeping but it would have been better if we didnt need to. Providing 2 towels and 2 sachets of tea/sugar/creamer per day for a family of 4 wouldn't really suffice. Also, I felt that room service was little overpriced. A plate of mutton biryani (just enough for 1 person) for Rs. 420/-, according to me, is not reasonable. However, these minor issues won't stop me from recommending it to my friends and family.

The suite has a seating area with an elaborate bar console with a wine rack and a 21 inch flat screen television atop it.
