The quintessential non-hotel hotel, Duke's Villa in Panjim is a charming two-storey villa located in a very quiet and green neighbourhood, the villa itself run over by bougainvillea creepers and surrounded by coconut trees. The villa offers 3 fully furnished bedroom apartments whose number of rooms can be adjusted according to your need. The Miramar beach is nearby, as are all urban comforts of the capital city of Panjim, from interesting restaurants to super markets.

The ground floor of the villa is about 50 years old while the rest was added 5 years ago.

Rooms
There are a total of 8 rooms in the air conditioned villa, strategically grouped together to cater to your personal needs. The stress on the personal is the USP here, with everything tailor made to the guests' requirements from the food to the facilities. Largely, the management has divided the villa into three units - a 2-bedroom apartment and two 3-bedroom apartments, one of them on the ground floor. All three apartments have fully equipped kitchens and all the rooms have attached washrooms so they can be let out as single room units too. There is an inverter on each floor to ensure uninterrupted power supply.

All the bedrooms here have personal balconies. The apartments are very spacious, uncluttered and clean with wooden walls. Room amenities common to all the apartments include a mini refrigerator, air conditioning, television, large cupboards and telephone. Kitchens are fully equipped with washing machine, refrigerator, dishes, cups, electronic kettle, toaster, water purifier, cutlery, LPG cooker and microwave. The amenities in the living room include electronic locker, dining table, couches, telephone, television and a charming bookshelf loaded with books.

The living rooms are very spacious with large doors leading onto a balcony that runs the length of the living room and overlooks the greenery of the complex. The ambience is very peaceful and in the evenings you can hear the birds riotously chirping. The living room can accommodate extra people at a nominal charge. The washrooms are clean and spacious, amenities include soap, hand wash and hot and cold running water.

Please note that the 2-bedroom apartment can also be divided into individual rooms while the 3-bedroom apartment can be converted into 2-bedroom apartment as well as single rooms.

The first floor 3-bedroom apartment is done in dull wood offset by bright green curtains. The living room here also has futons and lounge chairs. The ground floor 3-bedroom apartment comes with its private parking and an exclusive sit-out. This one is the most spacious of all three apartments and very carefully decorated. Like an authentic villa, this has stone-inlaid walls and antique furniture. Bean bags adorn the living room. The two bedrooms here have a connecting door so the suite is good for families.

Although there is no room service, the Duke's Villa does offer tea in the mornings.

Dining and Facilities
The villa operates as a bed and breakfast, with breakfast being served on the charming rooftop enclosure with open shutters, a music system that plays the guests' CDs and also an open sit-out.

Other facilities include airport transfers (at an extra cost), 12 hour security guard (7 pm to 7 am), 24-hour hep.

Location
Duke's Villa is located in a quiet residential colony, a 10-minute drive from the beautiful Miramar beach. The Dabolim airport is 35 km away. Duke's Villa is in close proximity to restaurants and shopping outlets in the area. The famous INOX multiplex is a 5 minute drive from the hotel.

Located 29 kms from Panjim, some airport facilities include currency exchange, a book shop, handicrafts emporium, a duty free shop and facilities for the physically challenged. There is a prepaid taxi stand within and outside the premises.

Margaon Railway Station (34 Km)

One of the two main railway stations in Goa, Margaon is in the southern area of the state and services the Konkan Railway line, which has trains plying from Mumbai and other destinations including Delhi.
