Country Clube De Goa Hotel Description

This beautiful property is hidden behind groves of coconut and palms near the famous Anjuna beach. Although sprawling, it does not come across as an impersonal hotel, but warm and hospitable with landscaped gardens, a beautiful swimming pool, winding lanes overrun by greenery and courteous staff. The reception and lobby area is full of antiques and colourful, funky paintings.

Rooms
The 46 rooms here are categorised into 2 Suites and 44 Studio rooms. 28 of the 44 Studio rooms are pool facing and the rest face the beautiful hills surrounding the property. All the rooms have private balconies as well as sofa cum beds so that accommodating extra guests in not a problem. All the rooms are air conditioned and well appointed with cable television, refrigerator, tea/coffee maker, and geysers in the washrooms. A mini bar is provided on request. All the guests also enjoy room service, but not during breakfast, lunch and dinner hours.

Dining
The hotel has many dining options for guests in the form of its coffee shop and the multi cuisine restaurant called the Shack. True to its name, the restaurant is built like a typical shack, round in shape, open and with a thatch roof. Inside it has comfortable couches. The menu is extensive featuring everything from Chinese to Goan delicacies. A bar counter in the corner serves spirits. The restaurant is also used for Sitar recitals take place every Wednesday, as well as folk dance performances and live music. The restaurant has outdoor seating too which gives you a view of the pool, the quaint wooden bridges over the mot surrounding the restaurant and of course the ducks. The coffee shop is open and cheerful, overlooking the pool, and painted orange.

Facilities
The Country Clube's swimming pool is the most attractive area with a sunk in bar, loads of greenery, faux bridges over waterways, and ducks! A children's pool is located besides the pool too. The hotel offers massages and other therapeutic treatments at its Ayurvedic massage centre. There is also a mini badminton court on the premises and sports such as table tennis, carrom and cards offered here. Other entertainment services include sightseeing tours, boat cruises, water sports, and also a tie up with Goa's famous floating casino.

The conference hall can accommodate 70 people in theatre style. The gymnasium is will equipped, with one entirely in glass with a view of the Anjuna flea market and colourful para-gliders.

Other facilities include car and bike rental, laundry service, doctor on call, currency exchange assistance, safety deposit lockers and internet access in the office.

Don't miss
In the centre of the restaurant, the Shack, there is a sunk in couch, round in shape! Very popular with large groups, it is quite an innovative way of seating.

Location
Country Clube de Goa is conveniently located at Anjuna in North Goa, only half a kilometre from the beach, which is a 5-minute walk. Please note that this is a rocky beach, and the nearest sandy beach is at Vagator or Baga, both about a 10-minute drive away. The famous Wednesday flea market is right around the corner while Ingo's Saturday night market is 10 minutes away. Goa's nightlife is all nearby - the famous Club Cabana is only a 10-minute drive from the Country Clube, Tito's is a 15 minute drive and Paradiso is 15 minutes away as well. The airport is 47 km away, the nearest railway station is at Thivim, 20 km away and the nearest bus stand is at Mapusa, 11 km away.
