Aldeia Santa Rita Hotel Description

Location
On the main road leading to Sinquerim beach that stretches from Fort Aguada to Candolim in north Goa, Aldeia Santa Rita is 18 kms from Panjim, 45 kms from the airport and 25 kms from Thivim railway station. It is walking distance from the beach.

Part of the de Souza Group, based at Sinquerim, in north Goa is the 14-year-old Aldeia Santa Rita. It enjoys a tropical air with lots of coconut trees on its premises. A long pathway with colours on its side sets you on a trail of rest, relaxation good food and lots more! On entering, you are greeted by 10 colourful choc-a-bloc buildings, painted in pastels, with white balconies facing each other with open arms. They have exotic names like Villa Evora and Villa Cintra. The passageway snakes itself to the reception, a small room next to the hotel's restaurant. The square shaped swimming pool next to the reception looks inviting with poolside chairs circling it.

Rooms
The hotel has 55 air conditioned rooms, of which 33 are Standard rooms and 12 are Colony rooms. The former have a seating arrangement separate from the bedroom. With colourful cushions on a bright sofa, the sitting room sports a phone and a television. The bedroom with twin or double beds is well furnished with a cane cupboard, a luggage rack and bedside lamps on side cane tables. Every room has a bathroom with a shower area and the basics like soap and toilet paper. Adjoining the bedroom is a kitchenette with a refrigerator.

The Colony room, also known as a Studio room, has its seating arrangement outside in the balcony, facing the green lawn. While the room amenities are the same as the Standard room, the bathrooms come equipped with a guest bathrobe and slippers, soap, shower cap and toothbrush.

Dining
Aldeia Santa Rita has an open air multi cuisine restaurant with an attached bar called Casa do Pasta, which serves buffet lunches, snacks and dinner. There is also a poolside bar that serves the choicest of beverages along with snacks. Creperia Candolim, the smaller restaurant on the sidewalk has a homely touch with wooden and copper utensils resting on a swing inside with red table cloths contrasting the bright flowers in green glass bottles.

Facilities
Behind the reception is the Aura Health Spa where guests can rejuvenate and relax. Its decor is similar to a shack with no artificial intrusions. Beside is it is the Pink Rose Parlour, with striped pinkish wallpaper all around. Close on its heels is Loja Aldeia, the silk shop with tailoring services.

Additional facilities at Aldeia Santa Rita include open lawns for special functions, taxi desk, doctor on call, safety deposit lockers, gift shop, currency exchange counter, recreational activities (seasonal) and 24 hour reception service.

Dabolim Airport (42 Km)

Located 29 kms from Panjim, some airport facilities include currency exchange, a book shop, handicrafts emporium, a duty free shop and facilities for the physically challenged. There is a prepaid taxi stand within and outside the premises.

Margaon Railway Station (50 Km)
