Royal Palace Resort Hotel Description

Location
Located on the upper slopes of the small town of Bhagsu near McLeodganj in Upper Dharamshala, Royal Palace Resort lies just half a kilometre away from the Bhagsunag Temple and just 2 kms away from McLeodganj Bus Stand. The Bhagsu main market area, which is dotted with restaurants and cyber cafes, is within walking distance of the hotel.

A stately mansion, Royal Palace Resort stands on the slopes above Bhagsu market. A driveway leads up to the parking area of the resort. From here, a short flight of stairs and one is welcomed into a huge ornate hall that is done up in peach and white. The lobby features comfortable cushioned sofas while a long wooden counter in the center of the hall forms the reception. At the other end is the restaurant.

The structure comprises two wings. While the main wing, which houses the reception, lobby and restaurant besides rooms, has two floors, the adjacent building has three floors. The 30 rooms at the hotel are spread across three floors.

Rooms
The well furnished rooms are divided into 2 Deluxe rooms, 15 Super Deluxe rooms, 7 Suites, 5 Luxury Suites and 1 Royal Suite. Room amenities include cable television, intercom, cushioned chairs/sofas with center table, study table, luggage rack, shoe shine mitts and a cupboard. The attached washrooms are equipped with bath mats, bath tub, soap, linen and geyser.

In addition, the Suites feature a reclining sofa cum bed and a room heater while the Luxury Suites are appointed with a refrigerator besides all other amenities. All rooms have wooden flooring and large windows.
Please note that room heaters are provided at an extra cost.

Dining
Royal Palace Resort has a multi cuisine restaurant at the lobby level, which serves Indian and Chinese cuisines besides an array of delicious Continental dishes. While the restaurant has a separate buffet area for groups, it can seat 80 guests in the main bay for breakfast (7 am - 11 am) lunch (1 pm - 3 pm) and dinner (7 pm - 9:30 pm) besides snack and beverages that are served round the clock during peak season. While room service is limited to restaurant timings during lean season, it is available 24 hours a day during season time.

Services & Facilities
Although the hotel does not offer conference facilities yet, a state of the art conference hall is underway. Royal Palace Resort organises sightseeing tours and arranges the services of professional guides. Other facilities available at the hotel include travel assistance, car rental service, masseur on call, doctor on call, laundry service and spacious parking.

Don't Miss
Besides the splendid view that the hotel offers, the vacant lot adjoining the building is a delight. An open lush green area, it is ideal for evening walks and for observing insects and birds of the area.
